Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a sensor executing periodic calibration of print bars without complicating the process for forming the device. SOLUTION: Metal patterns 54a-n are formed on a substrate 40. The metal pattern 54a-n has a secured part and a free part 60a-n bent outward formed on the surface of the substrate 40 by removing a part of a passivation/release layer 48. A sensor 53 is formed on the same substrate 40 while including an active layer 33. An active layer 44 may be substantially transparent to light of infrared wavelength. The metal patterns 54a-n becoming micro spring inner wiring and the sensor 53 are integrated on the substrate using a compatible fabrication process.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device of a polygon-less raster output scanning system for wide page printing. SOLUTION: A VCSEL laser print bar 100 of which the position is adjustable is used in a dynamic structure, thereby raising a scanning resolution and providing a performance for wide page printing. A beam from a specific light-emitting element 160 is blocked by a light-receiving member 210, is blocked by a plane surface in the vicinity of the light-receiving member 210 and is imaged to a photosensor. The photosensor is positioned such that VCSEL arrays 110 are optimally arranged. An electric signal is fed back to a piezoelectric actuator 143, then the VCSEL arrays 110 are adequately arranged. In the dynamic structure, the feedback signal is used to maintain synchronization between the print bar 100 and a control signal.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible two dimensional array. SOLUTION: In each pixel cluster of an array, two pixel columns 30a, 30b, 30c, 30d share a single gate line 32a, 32b, and each pixel row 34a, 34b' is connected to a single data line 36a, 36c, and thus, pixel sensor/display element 10A1 and 10B1 belong to the same pixel cluster. It is possible to connect two columns or rows of the pixel with one gate line or one data line by using TFTs of type A and type B as switches. the TFTs of type A and type B can have different turn-on characteristics such as n-channel and p-channel TFTs or different threshold voltages.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adequate light in an illuminant at an adequate printing speed and at the same time, provide an adequate life for a printing bar. SOLUTION: The xerography illuminant array includes a circuit for exposing a photosensor drum or a belt to a light using an organic light emitting diode(OLED) which is activated at an appropriate light level. In this case, an illuminant array is arranged stepwise in a low speed scan direction 24 and data is shifted by a pixel drive shift register in the low speed scan direction 24 simultaneously with the movement of illuminants passing through the array. The prolongation of the life of the illuminant and the capability of the illuminant to operate at a lower light level are achieved in proportion to the number of steps. The method for activating the xerography illuminante array is such that a data signal is connected to shift register steps corresponding to a first line of pixels, then is shifted into the low sped scan direction 24 simultaneously with the movement of the illuminants and the OLED is driven through supplying a current.
