The controller is configured to compute the web velocity on the basis of a signal received from the first encoder and a runout correction value stored in a memory connected to the controller. The controller transmits an ejection signal to the print head 216 to operate the print head 216, and ejects ink onto the web 204 at a position corresponding to the computed web velocity.
