Abstract:
A method of operating a printer enables compensation parameters to be generated and stored in association with system conditions detected at the time of the compensation parameter generation. Upon detection of corresponding system conditions at a later time, the printer is able to use the previously generated and stored compensation parameters to adjust the timing of printhead ejections to improve the registration in ink images formed by the system.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Image data is analyzed line by line to identify pixels having similar color and edge characteristics. The pixels on one line are linked to pixels on another line, if they share similar characteristics. The linked pixels are then grouped together in regions, and the average color of the region is calculated. An image map is generated that identifies the regions to which the pixels belong, along with a final table of the regions appearing in the image.

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print head discharge operation system in a web printing system capable of preventing misregistration by improving the calculation accuracy of a web velocity. SOLUTION: The discharge operation system of the print head in the web printing system includes: a first roller; a first encoder for generating a signal corresponding to an angular velocity of the first roller; a first temperature sensor for generating a signal corresponding to a first roller temperature; a first print head; and a controller. In the discharge operation system, the controller is configured so as to recognize a change in the length of a first roller diameter to calculate the web velocity of a web moving through a printing zone based on the change in length and also generate a discharge signal for discharging ink on the web in a position corresponding to the calculated web velocity. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which converts a document to image data with a composite raster content format having a plurality of binary foreground flat surface, and also provide a method therefor. SOLUTION: Pixels having similar colors and edge features are specified by analyzing image data for each line. Pixels existing on a line are linked with pixels existing on another line when these lines share similar features. These linked pixels are grouped together as an area, and the average color of the area is computed. An image map specifying an area to which a pixel belongs is generated together with the final table of the area. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
