Abstract: The present disclosure provides a stabilizing unit for a medical device. The stabilizing unit includes a retaining arm having a surface configured to abut a surface of the medical device. The stabilizing unit also includes a stabilizing fork having a slot configured to receive the medical device. A biasing member is in contact with the stabilizing fork and is configured to urge the slot of the stabilizing fork towards the retaining arm. When the medical device is placed in the slot of the stabilizing fork, the basing member urges the stabilizing fork against an adjacent surface of the medical device, and an opposing surface of the medical device against the retaining arm.

Abstract: A mobile support system comprises a medical device having an arm with a base, the base comprising: a first roller; a first roller shaft coupled to the first roller; a first locking mechanism coupled to the first roller shaft; a second roller; a second roller shaft coupled to the second roller; and a second locking mechanism coupled to the second roller shaft; a body comprising a housing and a carriage positioned within the housing; a support arm coupled to the carriage and extending vertically upward from the housing. The support arm is configured to support the arm of the medical device. A mounting block is coupled to the carriage proximate to the support arm, wherein the mounting block is configured to couple with the base of the arm of the medical device, the mounting block comprising a set of pins configured to couple with the first roller shaft and the second roller shaft, wherein the first locking mechanism and the second locking mechanism are configured to lock the first roller shaft and the second roller shaft, respectively, when the set of pins of the mounting block are disengaged from the first roller shaft and the second roller shaft.

Abstract: A system and method for rapid halt and recovery of motion deviations in a medical device includes a computer-assisted medical device having a first repositionable arm having one or more first repositionable elements, a second repositionable arm having one or more second repositionable elements, and a control unit communicably coupled to the first and second repositionable arms. The control unit is configured to control motion of the first repositionable arm and the first end effector based on a desired motion, monitor an actual motion of the first repositionable arm and the first end effector, determine whether the actual motion deviates from the desired motion by more than a predetermined threshold, and halt motion of the first repositionable arm and the first end effector, or of the second repositionable arm and the second end effector, when the actual motion deviates from the desired motion by more than the predetermined threshold.
