Abstract: 本发明提供了一种面状发光光源,该面状发光光源将从蓝色LED发出的光从导光板的端面发射出并通过该导光板从一个主面以面状输出,该面状发光光源的构成是:上述导光板与蓝色LED将色变换部件(涂覆部)夹在中间,该色变换部件(涂覆部)含有由透明树脂中或玻璃中的蓝色LED发出的光激励而发出荧光的光致发光荧光体,并且由上述光致发光荧光体对波长进行变换所得到的发光和通过上述色变换部件(涂覆部)的来自LED的发光被从上述端面发射到导光板,使由来自一个主面的LED的发光和光致发光荧光体的荧光的光的颜色的混合所产生的白光被放出。
