Abstract:
A pneumatic system includes a fluidic switching module, an air connection inlet configured for connection to a source of pressurized air, a plurality of air connection outlets each in fluid communication with the air connection inlet, a first cascading subsystem downstream from and in fluid communication with the air connection inlet and configured to receive a pressurized airflow from the air connection inlet, a second cascading subsystem downstream from and in fluid communication with the first cascading subsystem, and a third cascading subsystem downstream from and in fluid communication with the first cascading subsystem. The fluidic switching module is configured to cyclically and sequentially direct the pressurized airflow between the plurality of air connection outlets without any moving parts or external controls.
Abstract:
A portable battery power operated chiropractic adjusting instrument, manipulator or thruster for applying a selectable adjustment energy impulse to a patient through a plunger having a resilient or cushioned head with the energy impulse applied to the plunger being supplied by a solenoid. The adjusting instrument can have annunciators or indicators for preload, readiness to operate, level of energy impulse and the like. The power source can be an internal rechargeable battery or removable rechargeable battery pack.
Abstract:
The majority of adult devices have been designed for an individual to hold. However, it would be beneficial to provide users with a range of adult devices that support their use either in a hands free manner and/or are compatible with being worn by the user for varying periods of time from intermittent/occasional short durations through to extended wearing such as all day for example. In order to provide such wearable devices being able to separate the drive means from the stimulation means provides increased design flexibility as well as allowing different designs of adult device to be implemented as the design flexibility within the appropriate regions of the user's anatomy increases when the large vibratory motors are removed and connected to the stimulation means via flexible drive shaft. Further, beneficially, flexible drive shafts allow operation as the user moves during normal activities, such as sitting, standing, walking, etc.
Abstract:
An auto cleansing apparatus comprises: a drive unit which is equipped in a case and generates the rotation power; a pair of cams which may be rotated in accordance with the rotation power of the drive unit and wherein the positions of the cam sides may be changed by turns; a rotor link which is provided with a pair of the rotor arms to be contacted with the cam sides and which is rotated in the case to and fro while the rotor center shaft is rotated and the rotor arms may be moved forwardly and backwardly when the cam sides of the cams are changed by turns; and a rotor plate which has cleansing member equipped in one side and which is connected to the rotor link.
Abstract:
An apparatus (100) is disclosed for treating a user by means of vibrations, comprising: a vessel (1) for accommodating a liquid for immersing the user, provided with a first rim (4); movement means (20) mechanically coupled to the vessel (1) to cause vibrations of the vessel. The apparatus is characterized in that it further comprises an external casing (2) of the vessel (1), provided with a second rim (10) covering the first rim (4), and a fluid-tight seal (11) interposes between the first rim (4) and the second rim and such to reduce the transmission of vibrations from the vessel (1) to the casing (2).
Abstract:
A vibration machine includes a base, a vibration plate suspending above the base for supporting a person, a supplementary shaft fixedly mounted on the center of the bottom side of the vibration plate, a plurality of axle housing elements fixedly mounted on the base around the supplementary shaft, a plurality of spring members vertically connected between the vibration plate and the base and spaced around the axle housing elements, and a DC linear motor surrounded by the axle housing elements on the base for moving the supplementary shaft and the vibration plate alternatively up and down relative to the base.
Abstract:
A device for enhancing blood circulation that includes a main element, a detachable element with an identification mark, and attachment means for grasping the detachable element by the main element. The main element functions by intermittently tightening and relaxing its grasp of the detachable element when activated. Additionally the main element authenticates the identification mark of the detachable element; and the main element is enabled to function if the authentication of the identification mark is positive.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a portable device for enhancing circulation in a limb comprising at least one strap for encircling the limb, a motor and a mechanism driven by said motor for intermittently actuating a first transition from a relaxed state to a strained state of the strap and a second transition from the strained state to the relaxed state. The mechanism includes at least one energy storing element operatively disposed between the motor and the strap and at least one energy releasing mechanism coupling between the energy storing element and the strap. The energy releasing mechanism enables fast release of energy stored in said storing element and the use of the energy so released to effectuate at least one abrupt transition between said relaxed and strained states.
Abstract:
A foot mobility device includes a body, two pedals rotatable about an axis in opposition to each other and relative to the body, and a motor drive assembly. The feet of a user are placed on the pedals, and the motor drive assembly is powered to move the pedals even while the user is completely passive; i.e., without any active participation by the user. Moreover, the sensation received by the use, rather than being one of typical nullexercisenull, is massage-like and therapeutic, all while providing the same benefit of increased blood circulation due to contraction and relaxation of the calf muscle. The device may also be used in an active mode, pedaled by the user. Moreover, the foot mobility device may be moved between an open configuration adapted for use of the device and a collapsed configuration having a low profile and adapted for storage and portability.
Abstract:
An overhead support system. A riding surface is located over a space and supports at least one overhead cart from which a load is supported by a tension element. A plurality of spherical elements are positioned between the riding surface and overhead cart and are attached to either the cart or the riding surface. The load can be moved horizontally in the space by applying a horizontal force to the load causing the cart to move over the riding surface while carrying the load in the horizontal direction. In preferred embodiments the riding surface is an array of spoked rimless wheels. In other preferred embodiments the riding surface is a slot track, or the riding surface may be a combination of the array and slot tracks. In other preferred embodiments a hoist assembly is used to raise and lower the load. In a preferred embodiment the hoist assembly is located below the riding surface. In another preferred embodiment, the hoist assembly is located above the riding surface. In preferred embodiments casters are mounted on the top of the riding surface to permit easy horizontal movement of the cart over the casters. In other preferred embodiments the riding surface is flat and casters are mounted on the bottom of the overhead cart.
