Abstract: The disclosure relates to a liner for containers or packages. The liner includes several polymer layers, exhibits a barrier function (e.g., gas or moisture barrier function), and is peelably attachable to one or more container/package surfaces. When the liner lines a package or container the package or container exhibits the liner's barrier function, and the liner can be peeled from the package or container to facilitate recycling or disposal. The liner is thermoformable, and can thus be either shaped to conform to the shape of a pre-formed container or shaped simultaneously with formation of the container from a precursor material to which the liner is peelably bound, either prior to or during container formation.

Abstract: A hot melt adhesive film for bonding an ethylene-vinyl acetate form and a rubber includes a hot melt adhesive film layer and a release film layer. The hot melt adhesive film layer is prepared by the following raw materials in parts by weight: a 60-90 parts by weight of polyethylene-ester copolymer, a 10-40 parts by weight of rubber, a 1-15 parts by weight of thermoplastic polyolefin, and a 5-25 parts by weight of auxiliary. The release film layer is releasably adhered to the hot melt adhesive film layer.

Abstract: A sealing patch for a polymeric bag includes a carrier, a pressure sensitive adhesive on the carrier and a heat-activated material on the pressure sensitive adhesive. A high-strength polymeric bag is formed from woven tapes and is coated with a polymer material. The sealing patch is positioned on the bag for sealing the bag. Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the production of a cladding for elongated material (2), in particular a sheath for cable sets. In this method, an adhesive tape (3, 4) consisting of a carrier (4) and a first adhesive coating (3) which substantially fully covers the front side of the carrier (4) is combined with an adhesive-free carrier tape (5) such as to form a laminate (3, 4, 5). Abstract: An uncured adhesive contains 2 to 10 weight percent of particles of a semi-crystalline organic material, preferably a polyester having a number-average molecular weight of 2000 to 10,000, a hydroxyl number of 10 to 60, and a melting temperature of 50 to 125° C. The adhesive is applied by heating it just prior to application, to melt the particles. After application, the adhesive is cooled to below the melting temperature of the semi-crystalline organic material, and then cured. The process allows the adhesive to be stored and pumped at ambient temperatures, due to the moderate viscosity of the material. Upon melting and re-cooling the semi-crystalline organic material, the adhesive assumes a high yield stress that imparts very good wash-off resistance. In preferred embodiments, the adhesive composition includes an epoxy resin and an epoxy curing agent.
