Abstract:
A lighting device obtains data related to objects and boundaries in an area in the vicinity of the lighting device, and a user wearable device provides a display (e.g. an augmented reality display based on the data related to the objects and the area boundaries) for a user/wearer. The lighting device includes a mapping sensor that collects data related to the objects and boundaries in the area. The user wearable device includes a camera or other optical sensor and wireless communication capability. The user wearable device is provided with mapping data that is presented on a display of the user wearable device. The communications and display capabilities allow the user wearable device to obtain room mapping information related to area in the vicinity of the lighting device in order to provide navigational assistance to a visually impaired person in the area.
Abstract:
A wearable, activity-tracking sex toy includes a ring adapted to encircle a phallic object, at least one motion sensor, and at least one wireless communicator adapted to transmit output from the at least one motion sensor to a computing device.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to mobility aids and in particular, but not exclusively, to a portable device for releasably securing a mobility aid such as a cane, a crutch, a pole, a walking stick umbrella or other walking aids in a desired position. The device comprises an attachment operable to be connected to a fastener for releasably securing a mobility aid in a desired position. The attachment joins the fastener in a manner such that the fastener and attachment are capable of movement relative to each other in at least two planes. As such, the portable securing device may be used on a plurality of surfaces, which may be located on different planes or orientation.
Abstract:
Systems and related methods for delivering a stimulus to a pinna of a subject with a stimulator worn on the pinna are described. A wearable stimulation device includes a mechanical, electrical, or other type of stimulator secured to a pinna of a subject. The stimulation device may be used to deliver a stimulus that modulates activity of sensory nerve fiber innervating the pinna. Stimulation may be delivered in response to a sensed neural signal indicative of a physiological status of the subject, and/or in response to sensed environmental parameters. Stimulation may be delivered in combination with other stimuli or experiences. In an aspect, a stimulator communicates with and/or is controlled by a personal computing device.
Abstract:
A walking aid, such as a cane, can be equipped with one or more features and structures for increasing durability and structural integrity, providing increased mobility and support for users, aiding with common tasks, and providing an all-around improved user experience. Additionally, the walking aid can be constructed to include multiple detachable and collapsible segments for easy storage and transportability of the walking aid.

Abstract:
The present cane and grabber device can be a cane component and a grabber component. The grabber component can be housed within the cane component or can be unsheathed from the cane component and utilized to grab one or more objects. In an embodiment, the cane component can provide support to a user both while housing the grabber component and while the grabber component has been unsheathed. In an alternative embodiment, one or more grabber components can be housed by a walker or other similar support providing device.
Abstract:
A sleep assist system to monitor and assist the user's sleep, comprising a bedside device positioned near the user's bed, the bedside device comprising a loudspeaker and a light source and optionally a microphone, a light sensor, a temperature sensor, a control unit, an air quality sensor, a display unit, a user interface. The sleep assist system further comprises a first sensing unit positioned in the user's bed and comprising one or more sensors adapted to sense at least pressure and/or changes in pressure exerted by the user lying in the bed. The system monitors the user's sleep, assesses the user's sleep cycles and the phase of sleep cycle, and provides the user with at least one light and sound program, the light and sound program being based on the assessment of the user's sleep cycles and the phase of sleep cycle.
Abstract:
Devices, systems and methods are provided for treating migraine headaches and other conditions by non-invasive electrical stimulation of nerves and other tissue. A hand-held device includes a housing with a controller having a signal generator, an electrode for delivering electrical signals, and a conductive surface configured as a return path for the electrical signals. In certain implementations, the electrode is repositionable with respect to the housing. The patient can self-apply the hand-held device by pressing it against areas in need of pain relief. The device may include a pressure-sensitive gating switch to control delivery of the stimulation therapy. In certain embodiments, the electrode is a rollerball electrode. The device may include a chamber for retaining and dispensing conductive gel to the therapy site. In certain approaches, the device includes an electrode support for coupling an electrical stimulation system to the head for hands-free electrical stimulation therapy.
Abstract:
A facial muscle toner system is provided that includes, in some embodiments, a base unit and a hand piece unit. The base unit optionally includes a display portion at a front face and a command portion including one or more keys. The hand piece unit is operably connected to the base unit and is located remotely from the base unit. The hand piece unit includes a housing having a receptacle portion and a therapy distribution instrument extending from the receptacle portion. The therapy distribution instrument is configured to distribute therapy to sub-dermal facial muscles.
