Abstract:
A spraying device for melt granulation in a fluidized bed including a nozzle (2) with a feed channel for a liquid to be atomized, where the liquid is led through an emulsifying device and into an internal mixing chamber for gas and liquid, before it is fed to the fluidized bed. The nozzle has a separate channel for the atomizing gas fitted concentrically around the central liquid supply channel for the liquid to be atomized or nebulized. The mixing chamber surrounds the outlet zone of the liquid spray from the emulsifying device and the gas, allowing efficient mixing of high speed atomization gas and liquid, and having an external gas cap (1) where fluidization gas is channelled into a spout above the spraying device.
Abstract:
A modular fuel nozzle air swirler for a gas turbine engine has a body defining a fuel passage extending between an inlet end and a discharge end of the body. An annular cap is removably secured to the discharge end of the body via cooperating interlocking members.
Abstract:
The water evaporation system functions to increase the concentration strength of a contaminant solution in wastewater, for more economical disposal. A blower conveys an air stream along an air-conduit, over a nozzle or atomizer. The atomizer converts the incoming dilutely-contaminated water into fine droplets, and injects and distributes the droplets into the airstream. An air-heater is located upstream of the atomizer, and heats the airstream to a temperature of 110° C. at the atomizer. A droplet-collector receives the airstream, and the droplets, and mechanically extracts the liquid droplets from the airstream. The airstream leaves the droplet-collector at 65° C. in a saturated condition. The droplets coalesce, and become the final-water, comprising the strongly concentrated contaminant solution. An exhaust-conduit conveys air that has passed through the droplet-collector to the air-outlet. A heat-exchanger transfers heat from the exhaust airstream into the intake airstream, to supplement the air-heater.
Abstract:
Provided is a heat treatment apparatus. The heat treatment apparatus includes a heating plate including a heater; a chamber case including a cooling chamber, and coupled to a lower portion of the heating plate; and at least one atomizing unit installed on the chamber case to generate liquid droplet aerosol by mixing a cooling liquid and a gas, and at the same time, to inject the liquid droplet aerosol into the cooling chamber.
Abstract:
A method of forming droplets comprises flowing a liquid through a channel; spreading the liquid into a thin film in the channel; and impinging the thin film with a flowing gas to atomize the liquid into droplets. The droplets may then be dried to produce dried particles, such as particles comprising a pharmaceutical active agent. The droplets formed by the disclosed process have improved size and/or size distribution characteristics.
Abstract:
A combined water-wash and wet-compression system for a gas turbine includes a compressor having an inlet defining a flow direction; and a plurality of manifolds arranged in proximity to the inlet and arranged transversely of the flow direction; a plurality of dual-function nozzles connected to the manifolds. Each dual-function nozzle is adapted to supply, selectively, either relatively small droplets for introduction into the compressor for intercooling, or relatively large droplets for impingement on components of the compressor for cleaning the components. A method of introducing a liquid into a compressor inlet for providing water wash for cleaning components of the compressor, and for providing wet compression for intercooling is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A sprinkling head structure including a housing, a valve seat, a water valve, a cap member and a ball joint. The valve seat is disposed in the housing, whereby an air chamber is defined between the valve seat and the housing. The water valve is disposed in the valve seat and communicated with a trumpet-shaped water discharging passage of the valve seat. The valve seat is formed with through holes communicating the air chamber with the water discharging passage. When a liquid flows from the water valve to the water discharging passage, an instantaneous low pressure is created, whereby the air is sucked in through the air vents from the air chamber to impact and interrupt the liquid so that the air is mixed with the liquid to form an intermittent bead-like water beam for achieving a massaging effect.
