Abstract:
This invention is directed to a support plate for reinforcing a portion of a circuit board. The support plate may be coupled to a portion of the circuit board that is subject to forces (e.g., portions of the circuit board having switches) to prevent flexing of the board. The support plate may be coupled to the circuit board. This invention is also directed to a switch constructed from a button, a label plate, and a backer plate. The label plate and the backer plate may include apertures operative to receive a protrusion extending from the button, where the protrusion is welded to the backer plate. Labels may be printed or attached to the bottom surface of the label plate to protect the labels. In some embodiments, the protrusion may be welded to the backer plate. The protrusion may be operative to engage an electrical switch of an electronic device in which the switch is placed.
Abstract:
Provided is a dome switch including soldering pads formed at an upper surface of a circuit board and spaced a certain distance from one another, and a dome switch fixed to the soldering pads at two ends of the dome switch. Since the dome switch is directly fixed to the circuit board, even if a degree of fatigue of the dome switch increases due to long term use thereof, it is possible to prevent deformation of the dome switch, thereby increasing the reliability of products.
Abstract:
A sensor for use in an interactive electronic device. The sensor is operative to generate a plurality of different output signals corresponding to respective positions of the sensor relative to a reference plane. The movement of the sensor relative to the reference plane facilitates the movement of one or more actuation balls of respective switches of the sensor, which in turn results in the generation of differing conditions or output signals corresponding to closed or open circuit conditions selectively created by the switches.
Abstract:
To provide a multivendor-compatible printed board. On one face of an IVH (Interstitial Via Hole) board, wiring is provided for mounting a first semiconductor device, and on the other face, wiring is provided for mounting a second semiconductor device having pin positions and pin counts different from the first semiconductor. By the IVH board according to the present invention, one face can be used for mounting the first semiconductor device, and the other face can be used for mounting the second semiconductor device. Thus, even when the semiconductor device mounted on the IVH board of the present invention is changed, it becomes possible to use the identical board.
Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a voltage regulator circuit disposed on a circuit board of a blade server including a voltage regulator module for converting voltage of a power source and outputting the power source and a switch unit being connected with the voltage regulator module, wherein a standby power source output end disposed between the voltage regulator module and the switch unit is able to continuously output power sources as standby power sources to each of components on the circuit board when the switch unit is opened. When the blade server is turned on and the switch unit is closed, a power source output end of the switch unit will output the power sources as standard powers to each of the components, meanwhile, the standby power source output end is still outputting the standby power sources.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a circuit board which prevents an adverse effect to be caused on electronic components by flux or the like that is produced at the time of soldering. According to this invention, land patterns 6 and 7 for connecting a flat cable 5 and a slide switch 4 are formed apart from each other on a circuit board and a slit 10 is formed between the land patterns 6 and 7. Consequently, although flux is produced when terminals 5a to 5f of the flat cable 5 are soldered to the land pattern 7, the flux can escape from the slit 10 and does not intrude into the slide switch 4 easily.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for detecting a change in an electrical property between contacts. A one-time operating state detection device includes a member coupling a pair of contacts and a detector for detecting a change in the coupling between the pair of contacts when the member is removed.
Abstract:
A group of bus bars, forming a power circuit, are adhesively bonded to a surface of a control circuit board. Surface-mounting type relay switches are used as a switching unit for the power circuit. Contact-side terminals of each relay switch are mounted on the bus bar group while coil-side terminals thereof are mounted on the control circuit board. The opening and closing of relay contacts are controlled by a control circuit incorporated in the control circuit board.
Abstract:
Data bus capacitance is reduced by decoupling unaccessed memory circuits from a data bus during data transfers to or from other memory circuits.
Abstract:
A thumbwheel switch for a handheld electronic device is mechanically and electrically mounted on the substrate of a printed circuit board using SMT with the thumbwheel seated in a cutout in the substrate and with the top surface of the thumbwheel about flush with the top surface of the substrate so that the thumbwheel is ergonomically positioned on the side of the handheld electronic device at the level of the display.
