Abstract:
The present invention relates to a deep pressure therapy system. The system includes an inflatable component and a shell component. The inflatable component can be removably attached to the shell component to form a wearable assembly. The inflatable component is shaped to conform to a portion of a body of an individual, and includes an inflatable bladder having an inlet port and an outlet port for passage of a fluid. The bladder includes a plurality of depressions which are generally evenly-distributed over a portion of the bladder. In some embodiments, the depressions are circular welds. In some embodiments, the depressions are three-dimensional welds. The bladder may additionally include weld strips. The shell component may include one or more stretchable strips which are expandable as safety feature.
Abstract:
Some adult devices are ostensibly marketed to improve female sexual experience female by offering exercises to address relaxed vaginal muscles from birth, age, surgery etc. and for reducing incontinence. However, such devices suffer from variable placement by the user both in terms of orientation and penetrative depth such that the “results” are not reproducible and captured data used to provide feedback to the user and/or providing visual/audible prompts is flawed. Accordingly, it would be beneficial to provide a device with reproducible placement and data for enhancing the usability/benefit of the exercise regimen. It would be further beneficial for the device to either provide this exercise regime as part of a wider assessment of sexual wellness or as part of a sexual stimulation activity thereby reducing the focus on “exercise” to derive the benefits of improved pelvic muscle control.
Abstract:
Provided is a small and lightweight device for treating Meniere's disease and similar conditions that is transported by a patient and gives a safe and correct treatment when used by the patient. The portable device treats Meniere's disease and similar conditions by introducing pressure pulses to the ear canal so as to vibrate the auditory ossicles through the tympanic membrane. It comprises a pump unit for generating the pressure pulses, the earpiece for transmitting the pressure pulses to the tympanic membrane, and the controller for controlling the pump unit. The period, pressure, width, and frequency of the pressure pulses are adjustable.
Abstract:
The proposed method and devices provide for an effective improvement of the blood flow in the vessels of a human's extremities due to generation of an ante-grade pressure wave of blood synchronized with phases of the cardiac cycle with the help of compression impulses. The devices provide an improved accuracy of the time and amplitude characteristics of the compression impulses and functioning in modes of generation both the ante-grade wave and external counter-pulsation.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are disclosed for configuring a sexual stimulation device, the method comprising: receiving a configuration template; receiving a plurality of sensor profiles from a plurality of sensors; wherein, one or more of the plurality of sensor profiles are associated with a biofeedback response by a person using the sexual stimulation device; wherein, one or more of the plurality of sensor profiles are associated with a position, orientation, or motion of the sexual stimulation device; interpreting the plurality of sensor profiles using the configuration template; and generating an output, using the configuration template, based on the interpreted plurality of sensor profiles.
Abstract:
Devices, systems, and methods for promoting female sexual wellness and function. The devices, systems, and methods encourage clitoral engorgement using suction over the clitoris combined with vibratory stimulation
Abstract:
An apparatus and method used for medical and/or cosmetic treatment of a tissue, such as skin tightening, skin laxity and/or wrinkle reduction and or other skin flaws, including an energy source, a vacuum chamber and rollers which may facilitate easy sliding of the apparatus from one treated area to another. The rollers may also prevent excessive friction of the skin during the treatment. The energy source can be configured to emit energy based on the position of the apparatus on the skin (i.e., the position of the rollers), as well as the pressure within the vacuum chamber. The vacuum level and energy emission can be changed or pulsed based on the treatment regime.
Abstract:
A control unit coupled to a thermal therapy device, a compression therapy device and DVT therapy devices is provided. The thermal therapy device includes a fluid bladder for delivering hot and/or cold therapy to a patient. The compression therapy device includes an gas bladder for providing compression to a patient. The DVT therapy devices provide pulsed compression in coordination with the compression therapy device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for and method of monitoring compressions in a cardiac massage on a person in a medical emergency situation. The device is equipped with a flow tube (2, 202), which exhibits a continuous flow channel for air, with at least one flow sensor (10) for determining mass or volumetric flow arranged in the flow channel of the flow tube (2, 202), and/or with a vital signs sensor arranged on the flow tube, by means of which a proportion of oxygen and carbon dioxide can be determined, with a processor that produces a characteristic output signal for penetration depth from the mass or volumetric flow determined and/or from the proportion of oxygen or carbon dioxide detected, andwith an output device (124, 224) that issues the output signal.
Abstract:
A portable medical device having improved ECG trace display and reporting. Embodiments implement features to ameliorate artifacts created by virtue of attempting to eliminate compression artifacts due to mechanical compression devices. Other embodiments additionally implement features to seek to detect the occurrence of ROSC while chest compressions are ongoing.
