Abstract:
A detachable rotational filter supporter is disclosed. The supporter can: release a filter when the housing is rotated; block the flow channel immediately when the filter is separated from the filter supporter; automatically open the closed flow channel when the filter is installed to the filter supporter; and simultaneously hold the filter when the housing is located at the original position. Therefore, the detachable rotational filter supporter allows the filter to be easily separated from and installed to the water purifier and allows general users to simply replace the filters.
Abstract:
A filtration module is provided which includes a manifold (100), a filtration cartridge (104) and a bowl (102) that houses the filter cartridge. The filtration cartridge and bowl are connected to each other to form a unitary construction. The filtration cartridge and bowl are in fluid communication with the manifold in a manner which prevents mixing of a fluid feed to the module and a permeate removed from the module.
Abstract:
An engagement structure of a filter comprises an upper cover; a middle side of the upper cover being formed with an outer thread; a tapered portion being extended from a lower end of the portion of the upper cover having the outer thread; and a tube having a flange at an upper side thereof; an inner side of the tube being formed with an inner thread which is corresponding to the outer thread of the upper cover; a tapered hole being extended at an inner side of the tube and below the portion of the tube having the inner thread; the tapered hole having a shape corresponding to that of the tapered portion of the upper cover. An outer periphery of the tapered portion or an inner periphery of the tapered hole is formed with a plurality of annular grooves for receiving a plurality of washers.
Abstract:
A valve assembly is disclosed for use in conjunction with a replaceable filter cartridge system. The valve assembly includes a head member having an interior valve chamber defining a central axis, and inlet and outlet passages extending parallel to and communicating with the interior valve chamber. The valve assembly further includes a valve member having an inlet path and an outlet path, adapted for rotation within the interior valve chamber of the head member between a filter position wherein the inlet path of the valve member is in communication with the inlet passage of the head member and a bypass position wherein the inlet path of the valve member is out of communication with the inlet passage of the head member. The valve assembly further includes a seal member seated in an upper surface of the valve member and positioned to seal against an opposing surface of the interior valve chamber. The seal member sealingly isolates untreated and treated fluid streams flowing through the inlet and outlet paths of the valve member, respectively, when the valve member is in the filter position, and sealingly isolates the inlet and outlet passages of the head member from the atmosphere when the valve member is in the bypass position to permit fluid to flow therebetween.
Abstract:
A liquid filter arrangement is provided, as well as methods of assembly and use. The liquid filter arrangement includes an anti-drain back valve assembly therein. Advantageous features, relating to a preferred filter cartridge and preferred anti-drain back valve arrangement, are provided.
Abstract:
A one-touch fitting type adapter and a filter assembly are provided in which the filter assembly used for machinery, such as a bidet or a refrigerator, is easily assembled with or disassembled from the adapter through a one-touch fitting manner such that the filter assembly is easily adapted for the machinery. A multiple adapter capable of coupling a plurality of adapters in series is provided such that a plurality of filter assemblies used for a water purifier, a water ionizer or a functional water maker are detachably engaged with the multiple adapter through a one-touch fitting manner.
Abstract:
A filter assembly for fluid filtration having a push-activated lock and release mechanism. The filter housing has a sump for enclosing the filter media, a filter head, and at least one standoff protruding outwards for use in securing the filter head to a filter manifold. The filter manifold supports the filter housing with a filter locator. A filter guide having a rotator actuating mechanism secures and holds the filter head in place when the filter head is axially inserted. The rotator actuating mechanism has tabs and slots that rotate upon a transverse axial force from the standoff and from tabs on an internal shutoff. The internal shutoff has an inlet extension and an outlet extension with apertures for fluid ingress and egress. The internal shutoff tabs slidably contact and align the rotator actuating mechanism to secure and remove the filter head.
Abstract:
A filter assembly includes a head housing having a water inlet and a water outlet, and a valve disposed in the housing and defining inlet and outlet passageways, and having a first key formation. A cartridge is provided having separate inlet and outlet ports each engageable in a corresponding one of the passageways, and a complementary key formation for engaging the first key formation for ensuring proper engagement of the ports in the passageways. The valve is rotatable in the housing between an open position in which feed water passes through the inlet passageway and into the cartridge, and treated water flows to the outlet passageway, and a closed position in which water is prevented from flowing to and from the valve. The inlet and outlet passageways and the first key formation are generally linearly aligned.
Abstract:
A filter housing having radial sealing means is disclosed herein. Push-button actuated clamps can be used to attach the head to the sump for easy opening and closing the filter housing when replacing the filter cartridge. The filter housing of the present invention provides simplified filter cartridge changes to minimize process downtime and without recourse to tools.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filtering apparatus comprising a pot-type filter housing (10), a filter element (28) that is accommodated therein, a holding mechanism (38) which is disposed in the filter housing (10) in order to removably fix the filter element along the longitudinal axis thereof, and a sealing device (60) that seals between a lid (20) of the filter housing (10) and the filter element (28). The holding mechanism (38) is provided with cooperating holding elements which are embodied on the interior face of the filter housing (10) as well as on the filter element (28). The inventive filtering apparatus dispenses with the need for O-seals that are known in prior art and extend in a radial direction between the filter element and the filter head as a housing lid because the sealing device (60) encompasses at least one sealing edge (62) or sealing surface which is placed parallel to the longitudinal axis in a radial direction and seals under the effect of the pressure applied thereto by the holding mechanism (38). The invention further relates to a filter element that is to be used in such a filtering apparatus.
