Abstract:
An electrostatic sprayer for spraying a liquid includes a nozzle formed from a nozzle body that has an inlet for receiving a liquid and a liquid tip having an outlet for ejection of the liquid to form a liquid spray. The nozzle also includes an electrode disposed around the outlet of the liquid tip for charging the liquid. The electrode is captive in a removable cap that is that is detachably secured, e.g., via threaded connection, to the sprayer, so that the cap is removable for servicing, cleaning or replacement of nozzle components such as the liquid tip. The nozzle includes a calibratable stop mechanism for controlling a position of the electrode with respect to the outlet of the liquid tip when the cap is installed. The stop mechanism may be provided by a locking ring around a barrel of the sprayer that stops rotation of the cap.

Abstract:
Cooling water is pressurized and supplied via a pipe to an electrified atomization head installed in an atomization cooling area A, the jetted particles of the cooling water from the electrified atomization head are electrified and atomized. An electrification voltage is applied from a voltage application unit to the electrified atomization head, and the external electric field generated by applying a voltage between a water-side electrode unit and an induction electrode unit is applied to the cooling water in a jetting process so as to electrify the atomization water and facilitate adsorption to people.

A spray gun suitable for electrostatic coating, using a coating material whose electric resistance is relatively low. A coating material nozzle is attached to the front middle region of a barrel having a forwardly projecting cylindrical section on the front outer peripheral edge, and an air cap which covers their front surfaces is installed. A pattern air flow channel is formed between the air cap, coating material nozzle outer peripheral surface and the cylindrical section inner peripheral surface, and an annular electrode is attached to the inside of the flow channel. The air cap is centrally provided with an atomization air spout hole, and a coating material delivery port at the front end of the coating material nozzle is inserted therein. A pin electrode is projected forward through the coating material delivery port. Two pairs of projections project forward from two sets of opposed locations for the air cap, each with a pattern air spout hole. The pin electrode is grounded and a high dc voltage is applied to the annular electrode.

A coating material nozzle (24) is attached to the front middle region of a barrel (2) having a forwardly projecting cylindrical section (36) on the front outer peripheral edge, and an air cap (40) which covers their front surfaces is installed. A pattern air flow channel (45) is formed between the air cap, coating material nozzle outer peripheral surface and the cylindrical section inner peripheral surface, and an annular electrode (13) is attached to the inside of the flow channel. The air cap is centrally provided with an atomization air spout hole (32), and a coating material delivery port (30) at the front end of the coating material nozzle is inserted therein. A pin electrode (31) is projected forward through the coating material delivery port. A pair of square section (39) are projected forward from the right and left ends of the air cap, each square section being formed with a pattern air spout hole (38). The pin electrode is grounded and a high dc voltage is applied to the annular electrode.

Abstract:
An electrostatic spray module for applying agricultural liquids such as a pesticide to crops where, externally to the spray module the number of connections is reduced to three, one for the liquid pesticide, one for compressed air and one for a low voltage signal. Internally to the spray module, the low voltage is converted to a high voltage signal, which is, along with the pesticide and the compressed air delivered to one or more electrostatic spray nozzles using only two electrically conductive pipes, a gas delivery pipe and a liquid delivery pipe. The nozzles fit into the gas delivery pipe and draw the compressed air through gas channel openings in the side of the nozzles. The gas delivery pipe doubles as the means to delivery the high voltage signal to the nozzles. Each nozzle has a liquid feed from the liquid delivery pipe, which carries ground voltage, maintaining the liquid at ground voltage. The grounded liquid merges with the compressed air in the nozzles to form an atomized liquid. The atomized liquid then passes through an electrode, which is electrically charged by the high voltage signal to form an electrostatic spray. The electrical charge in the spray leads to better dispersal of the spray due to the droplets in the spray repelling from each other, and further improves the adherence of the spray to crops which attract the charged droplets.
