Abstract:
A method and device for managing images stored in a plurality of storage media by using a display unit included in an image forming apparatus to prints the images are provided. The method includes: displaying identification names of a plurality of storage media included in or connected to the image forming apparatus; and linking information on images stored in the plurality of storage media with the identification names of the plurality of storage media and displaying the information on images stored in the plurality of storage media. Accordingly, the identification names of the plurality of storage media included in or connected to the image forming apparatus are displayed by linking information on images with the identification names in order to manage the images stored in the storage media. Therefore, a user can conveniently and promptly recognize and manage the storage media and the images stored in the storage media. In addition, since the plurality of storage media are controlled concurrently, image data can be promptly read from or written to the storage media, and data transfer speed between the storage media can be increased.
Abstract:
There is provided an image server apparatus which determines whether there is image data to which meta information requested from an image client apparatus communicable through a network is not provided, executes the process to generate the meta information if there is the image data to which the meta information is not provided, as a result of the determination, and transmits the generated meta information to the image client apparatus.
Abstract:
A display apparatus operable in plural modes and a mode changing method thereof are disclosed. The display apparatus includes a storage unit which stores information about a final mode, and a controller which changes a mode of the display apparatus to the final mode and displays a corresponding screen if the display apparatus is connected to a host device.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a measurement tool for use with an application suited for viewing a digitized drawing. The measurement tool enables the measurement of lengths (of both lines and poly lines) and areas (of both regular and irregular shapes) from a digital drawing in true scale. This is particularly advantageous with original architectural drawings or other drawings that are scanned from paper into a digital format and where measuring or annotating the drawing in true scale is important.
Abstract:
A digital photo frame includes a display and a button. The display has a primary display area and a secondary display area. A digital photo can be displayed in the secondary display area. The primary display area can also display a first resized digital photo associated with the digital photo displayed on the secondary display area. The controls are capable of causing the digital photo on the secondary display area to display on the primary display area.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a wireless communication apparatus which provides a plurality of images stored in a storage to an initiating wireless communication apparatus through wireless communications. A reception unit receives an image acquisition request transmitted from the initiating wireless communication apparatus. The request conforms to a camera control protocol for exchanging information relating to images. A selection unit selects, in response to the image acquisition request, one of the plurality of images stored in the storage. A transmission unit then transmits a response to the initiating wireless communication apparatus in accordance with the camera control protocol. Information relating to the one of the plurality of images that is selected by the selection unit is contained in the response.
Abstract:
A display device having electronic album function and the method thereof is disclosed. The present invention includes an Electronic Photo Frame (EPF) controller which checks the existence of the memory and reads image data from the memory if any, an interface device which converts the interface format of the image data from the EPF controller, transmits it to main controller and sends interrupts to the main controller when there is a transmission error, and a counter which counts the number of interrupts transmitted to the main controller. When the number of interrupts with the same clock exceeds a predetermined number, the main controller ignores the interrupts, resets the interface device and reloads the image data from the memory. Otherwise, the main controller performs the regular interrupt routine.
Abstract:
Attachment of a USB memory is sensed and whether the USB memory can be recognized or not is determined based on data information output from the USB memory. When the USB memory cannot be recognized, an emulation transition screen is displayed. Thereafter, when an instruction to start transition to an emulation mode is given, an emulation mode transition instruction signal and an IP address of an MFP on a network are output. Receiving the input of the emulation mode transition instruction signal, an emulation mode start-up/end unit starts up the emulation mode.
Abstract:
Methods and system for transferring images between devices are disclosed. For example, differently scaled images by a host device may automatically and/or selectively be transferred to a media player for display. In turn, appropriately scaled images may be transferred automatically and/or selectively to another display device for example a TV, camera or printer. The selectivity may occur either at the host level or at the player level.
Abstract:
There is provided a data output apparatus, data output method, program, and storage medium which preferably execute a printing process using print data input to the printing apparatus via an external storage device without decreasing the speed of the printing process while ensuring a security of classified information contained in the print data. Print data stored in a detachable external storage device such as a removable medium is input, and then the print data is developed to image data printable by the printing apparatus. The developed image data is printed out on a printing medium. Upon the development process of the print data to the image data, the development process is executed while switching the first mode to execute the development process using a storage area of the external storage device and the second mode to execute the development process using a storage area of the printing apparatus.
