    Abstract: The invention is a method for the exploitation and/or monitoring of an underground formation having at least one reservoir comprising water, at least one gas species of interest and at least one atmospheric isotope of at least one rare gas present in dissolved form in the water of the reservoir. The method includes at least (1) taking at least one gas sample at the level of at least one collection of water from the reservoir, the collection being at the surface and the sampling being carried out to avoid any contamination with the air; (2) measuring at least the concentration of at least the gas species and the concentration of at least an atmospheric isotope of the rare gas in the gas sample; (3) determining the concentration of the gas species of interest dissolved in the water of the reservoir by a model which is a function at least of the concentrations of the gas species of interest and of the atmospheric isotope measured in the gas sample.

    Abstract: The invention is a redox flow battery (1000) comprising n electrochemical cells 300 that are electrically connected in series (300) with each cell including a cathode (310) and an anode (320) that are separated by a membrane (330) and that are respectively passed through by a catholyte and an anolyte originating from a catholyte tank (110) and an anolyte tank (120). The cells are fluidically connected in parallel. The invention is also a system for decreasing bi-pass currents including means (700) for injecting a gas into the inlet ducts (401) and outlet ducts (501) of the cathode and anode of (n−1) cells to form gas bubbles; and a device (800) for removing the gas bubbles, placed, on the inlet ducts of the cathode and anode of the (n−1) cells, downstream of the means for injecting the gas and upstream of the cathode and anode of the cells.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for detecting the presence of gas hydrates and/or ice in a medium. The method comprises at least the following steps: measuring at least at one measurement point in said medium two characteristic values of Raman spectra corresponding to two distinct vibration modes of the OH bonds of water, and determining the ratio τ of said two characteristic values, determining the temperature T in said medium at said measurement point of said spectra, comparing ratio τ with a value τ0 corresponding to a predetermined threshold of formation of said crystals for said temperature T, and determining the presence or not of hydrate and/or ice crystals from said comparison.
