    Abstract: There are provided a method of manufacturing a head chip capable of suppressing the occurrence of the failure in the process of forming the actuator plate to thereby increase the yield ratio, and a method of manufacturing a liquid jet head using the above method of manufacturing a head chip. The method of manufacturing a head chip according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is a method of manufacturing a head chip having an actuator plate adapted to apply pressure to liquid so as to jet the liquid. Forming the actuator plate includes forming a plurality of grooves on a surface of a piezoelectric substrate having one end and the other end so as to extend from the one end side toward the other end side, forming a conductive film on the surface of the piezoelectric substrate provided with the plurality of grooves, forming a laser processing area in the conductive film between the grooves adjacent to each other by performing laser processing from a start point on the one end side of the piezoelectric substrate to an end point on the other end side, and forming a surface removal area in at least a part including the start point and the end point out of the surface of the piezoelectric substrate by performing surface removal processing in a direction crossing the direction in which the laser processing is performed.

    Abstract: An alignment of jet holes of a liquid jet head is smoothly performed. A liquid jet head according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a nozzle section having a jet hole for liquid, a support member configured to support the nozzle section, and a position adjustment mechanism configured to adjust a position of the jet hole with respect to a carriage. The position adjustment mechanism includes a reference member a position of which with respect to the carriage is fixable, a position adjustment member which is coupled to the support member, and is configured to push the reference member to change a relative distance with respect to the reference member to thereby displace the support member on the carriage, and an intermediary member intervening between the reference member and the position adjustment member. The intermediary member is attached to either one of the reference member and the position adjustment member to form a first pressure-receiving surface facing to a displacement direction of the support member, and the other of the reference member and the position adjustment member has contact with the first pressure-receiving surface.

    Abstract: A liquid jet head and so on capable of enhancing the convenience while improving the performance are provided. The liquid jet head according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a jet section configured to jet liquid, at least one drive device which applies a drive signal having a predetermined drive waveform to the jet section to thereby cause the jet section to jet the liquid, and a waveform setting section configured to generate regular waveform configuration information for setting the drive waveform based on simplified waveform configuration information supplied from an outside of the liquid jet head. The waveform setting section converts the simplified waveform configuration information including at least one type of reference potential value set along a time axis into the regular waveform configuration information including a plurality of types of power supply potential values set for each of the reference potential values to thereby generate the regular waveform configuration information based on the simplified waveform configuration information.

    Abstract: There is provided a head chip and so on capable of achieving the reduction in power consumption and the improvement in print image quality while suppressing the manufacturing cost of the head chip. The head chip according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an actuator plate having a plurality of ejection grooves and a plurality of electrodes, a nozzle plate having a plurality of nozzle holes, and a cover plate having a wall part, a first through hole, and a second through hole. The plurality of nozzle holes includes a plurality of first nozzle holes arranged so as to be shifted toward the first through hole, and a plurality of second nozzle holes arranged so as to be shifted toward the second through hole. In a first ejection groove communicated with the first nozzle hole, a first cross-sectional area of a part communicated with the first through hole is smaller than a second cross-sectional area of a part communicated with the second through hole. Positions of both ends of the electrode along the extending direction of the ejection grooves are each aligned in the plurality of electrodes along a predetermined direction.

A central position of the first expansion flow channel part coincides with a first central position of the first nozzle hole, or is shifted toward the first through hole. A central position of the second expansion flow channel part coincides with a second central position of the second nozzle hole, or is shifted toward the second through hole.
