Abstract: A massage table system/method allowing self-application of adjustable compression and stretching is disclosed. The system incorporates a frame support structure (FSS) horizontally supporting a patient support table (PST) and patient face cradle (PFC) permitting a massage patient to receive adjustable massage from a body contact assembly (BCA) positioned using a horizontal slide assembly (HSA) under pneumatic control of a horizontal cylinder assembly (HCA). The patient is massaged via a patient massage roller (PMR) radially articulated by the BCA in response to pneumatic pressure applied by a vertical cylinder assembly (VCA) while the BCA is positioned longitudinally over the patient by the HSA. A control interface box (CIB) provides adjustment of HSA travel speed, position, and applied pressure to the PMR by the VCA. Computer controls within the CIB may permit automated patient massage procedures by pre-programmed/memorized operation of pneumatic valves controlling the HSA and BCA.

Abstract: This invention relates to a self leveling walker to assist persons who have insufficient strength or movement in their legs when standing and walking on uneven surfaces, and for traversing ramps and stairs. The inventive self leveling walker includes a frame assembly with a leveling assembly for adapting the relative length of the four legs of the walker to accommodate a substantially constant level of the walker so that the user may maintain an erect standing posture at all times, without the need to lean forward or back to accommodate uneven surfaces. The invention employs a fluid or gas based circuit between the front and back walker legs on each respective side, so as to shorten or lengthen each front and back leg with respect to each other, thereby maintaining the overall level of the walker on the subject surface being traversed.

Abstract: A gas mist pressure bathing system for preparing a gas mist by pulverizing and dissolving a gas including carbon dioxide or oxygen or a mixed gas of carbon dioxide and oxygen, and a liquid, and causing the gas mist to directly contact skin and mucous membrane of a living organism, includes a gas supply device, a gas mist generating device having a liquid storage, a nozzle discharging the gas, and a liquid sucking pipe for sending the liquid to the nozzle, a covering member for covering the skin and mucous membrane, sensors, and a control device. The gas mist generating device further includes a gas introduction device for supplying the gas into the gas mist generating device, and generating an air current guiding the gas mist to the covering member to increase supplying pressure of the gas mist into the covering member.

Abstract: Systems for auto-calibrating a pneumatic compression system may include one or more manifolds from an inflation fluid source and one or more individually inflatable cells. One or more pressure sensors may be associated with the one or more manifolds and/or each of the individually inflatable cells. Each of the pressure sensors may provide either dynamic or static pressure data to a controller. A method for auto-calibrating the compression system may include introducing a portion of inflation fluid into a cell while measuring a dynamic cell pressure, stopping the introduction of fluid, measuring a static cell pressure, and comparing, by the computing device, the dynamic cell pressure and the static cell pressure. The comparison between dynamic and static cell pressures may be used to calculate a dynamic target cell pressure equivalent to a desired static target cell pressure.
