    Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, and non-transitory computer-readable storage mediums for video encoding/decoding. In a method, prediction information for a current block is encoded. The prediction information indicates a secondary transform index, based on which a secondary transform core is determined. A first primary transform coefficient block is generated based on a primary transform core of the current block. A size of the first primary transform coefficient block is less than a size of the secondary transform core. A second primary transform coefficient block is generated based on the first primary transform coefficient block. A size of the second primary transform coefficient block equals the size of the secondary transform core. A secondary transform coefficient block is determined based on the second primary transform coefficient block and the secondary transform core. The current block is encoded based on the secondary transform coefficient block.

    Abstract: This disclosure generally describes a set of advanced video coding technologies, and is specifically related to cross-component sample offset (CCSO) filtering. For example, a CCSO filter having fractional CCSO filtering tap positions may be used to generate sample offsets from one color component of a reconstructed video. The sample offsets may then be applied to a second color component of the reconstructed video. The reconstructed samples of the first color component may first be interpolated by an interpolation filter in order to generate interpolated samples of the first color component at the fractional CCSO tap positions. The interpolated samples may be used as input to the CCSO filter for the generation of the sample offsets.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to video coding and particularly to methods and systems for deriving context adaptive interpolation filter used for generating prediction samples in inter prediction involving a fractional motion vector or block vector. For example, an encoder and a decoder may derive interpolation filters adaptively using reconstructed samples. The reconstructed samples may belong to templates near a current block and a reference block related by the motion vector or block vector. The derivation of the adaptive interpolation filters may be based on minimizing distortions between interpolated templates associated with the reference block and the templates associated with the current block.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates transform configuration and signaling for a compound inter intra prediction modes. In one example, a method for decoding a video block in a video stream is disclosed. The method may include determining that the video block is predicted in a Compound Inter Intra Prediction (CIIP) mode, wherein the video block is derived as a combination of an intra prediction and an inter prediction in the CIIP mode. The method further includes determining at least one inter intra prediction weighting configuration for the video block; identifying a data-driven transform kernel for the video block among a transform kernel set; generating a residual block of the video block by inverse-transforming, using at least the data-driven transform kernel, a set of transform coefficients extracted from the video stream for the video block; and deriving the video block based on the residual block, the at least one inter intra prediction weighting configuration, at least one reconstructed inter-prediction block of the video block, and at least one reconstructed intra-prediction reference sample of the video block.
