Abstract: Good massage can be performed on a wide range of user's body, extending from the shoulder to the buttocks.A chair massager (1) comprises a massaging mechanism (7) having a massager piece for massaging part of user's body as a target of massage, and a moving rail (8) disposed along a vertical direction to guide the massaging mechanism (7) in vertical movement. The massager piece includes a first massager piece (14) lying in an upper position as seen from the massaging mechanism (7), and a second massager piece (15) lying in a lower position as seen from the massaging mechanism (7). The massaging mechanism (7) is designed to perform massage by actuating the second massager piece (15) to jut toward the target of massage when set in position at the bottom part of the moving rail (8).

Abstract: The walking training system 1 includes an upper marker 52 and a lower marker 54 installed at locations on the walking assistance apparatus 2 spaced apart from each other in a leg length direction. The control apparatus 100 calculates accelerations of the two markers using images taken by the camera 10, and estimates an acceleration at the center of gravity of the walking assistance apparatus 2 from accelerations of the two markers. The control apparatus 100 then calculates an inertia force acting on the walking assistance apparatus 2 from the product of the acceleration at the center of gravity and the weight of the walking assistance apparatus 2. The control apparatus 100 controls the forward pulling unit 35 and the backward pulling unit 37 to reduce the inertia force acting on the walking assistance apparatus 2.

Abstract: An assist system includes a fist belt worn on an upper body part of a user, a second belt worn on a knee of the user, a wire, a motor coupled with a first end of the wire and disposed on the first or second belt, a drive controller that controls drive of the motor, a gyro sensor that is disposed on the second belt and that measures an angular velocity about a direction perpendicular to the direction of the wire, and a controller. When the angular velocity is greater than or equal to a first threshold with a first tension being applied to the wire using the motor, the controller outputs first information. A second end of the wire is coupled with the second belt when the motor is disposed on the first belt but coupled with the first belt when the motor is disposed on the second belt.

Abstract: The present invention concerns exercise robot suitable for rehabilitation and methods of its operation. The invention concerns in particular a method in which the exercise robot learns an exercise movement on the basis of movements conducted by the aid of a human assistant holding the leg of a patient and moving said leg with muscular form to conduct an exercise movement. The rehabilitation robot actively accompanies the exercise movement in an active compliance mode and records the movement so as to determine an exercise movement stored in the control unit of the device. The rehabilitation robot can then produce the determined exercise in an exercise mode.

Abstract: A massage apparatus with integrated rotating and reciprocating massage mechanisms is capable of providing distinct shiatsu and tapping massage effects independently and simultaneously. The massage apparatus includes at least one rotating massage node rotating about an axis to form a circular path and at least one reciprocating massage node reciprocating inside the circular path.
