A method and device for repairing a textured surface is disclosed. In one embodiment, the device is a patch that includes a backing for receiving a top portion. The backing has a top surface opposing a bottom surface. The top portion includes a plurality of substantially spherical and popcorn shaped bodies attached to and extending perpendicularly from the top surface of the backing. The plurality of bodies and top surface of the backing define a pattern matching the textured surface. The patch further includes an adhesive layer on the bottom surface of the backing and a removably attached liner covering the adhesive layer.

A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape for preventing adhesion of aquatic organisms of the present invention includes an antifouling layer, a base material layer, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in the stated order, in which the base material layer has an impact absorption rate of 10% or more.

The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape can express good adhesion even in water; has good mechanical characteristics; facilitates its peeling operation; can maintain an antifouling effect over a long time period; has a small load on a human body or an environment; has a light weight; can maintain stable quality; and can effectively prevent the adhesion of an aquatic organism.

Described herein is a method of making a multi-layer article and paint protective films, wherein a mixture comprising a polyurethane coating solution and a plurality of nanoparticles is coated onto a casting liner to form a first layer; and a thermoplastic polyurethane is disposed onto the first layer opposite the casting liner. Multi-layer articles by the process of the present disclosure have been found to be resistant to compositions comprising strong acids and/or a functionalized organosilane.

The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is formed by an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition containing an acrylic polymer (a) and a low-molecular weight polymer component (b) which contains, as a principal monomer component, an ethylenic unsaturated monomer having a glass transition temperature of from 60 to 190° C. when it is formed into a homopolymer and having a cyclic structure within the molecule thereof, and which has a weight-average molecular weight equal to or higher than 3,000 but lower than 20,000. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a gel fraction of from 51 to 75 wt % and a temperature, at a maximum of loss tangent (tan δ), of from −14 to 25° C.
