Abstract:
Provided is a novel double-sided adhesive sheet for image display device which can be bonded to the adhesion surface in close contact without space therebetween although there is a step due to printing or the like on the adhesion surface to be bonded to the adhesive sheet. The double-sided adhesive sheet for image display device 1 of the invention is a sheet to bond any two adherends selected from a surface protective panel 2, a touch panel 3, and an image display panel, and the sheet is characterized in that at least one of the adherends (surface protective panel 2) has a stepped portion 2b on an adhesion surface 2a to adhere to the double-sided adhesive sheet 1 and the surface shape of the bonding surface 1a of the double-sided adhesive sheet 1 to be bonded to the adhesion surface 2a is shaped in accordance with the surface shape of the adhesion surface 2a.
Abstract:
A foam tape having a multi-layer structure comprising a polyurethane foam core layer, at least one tie layer, adjacent one side of the polyurethane foam core layer, a first PSA film on one side of the first tie layer and a second PSA film, either on one side of a second tie layer or on one side of a polyester layer directly adjacent the opposite side of the polyurethane foam core layer, and a double-sided release layer on one side of the first PSA film. The foamed tape can be made by a process comprising applying a polymeric film to a first release layer to form a supported tie layer, referred to as Intermediate Product A, coating and drying a PSA composition on a second release layer to form a supported PSA coating, referred to as Intermediate Product B, laminating Intermediate Product B to Intermediate Product A which, after removing the release layer on the tie layer, forms Intermediate Product C comprising, in sequence, release layer, PSA film, and tie layer. A polyurethane foam precursor composition can be coated between a first and second Intermediate Product C, and the composition cured to form a polyurethane foam core layer.
Abstract:
The aim of the invention is to improve an impairment to the adherence of an adhesive tape to a substrate caused by the inclusion of air bubbles between the adhesive tape and the substrate. According to the invention, said aim is achieved by means of an adhesive tape which comprises at least one adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer has at least one groove and none of the grooves extends as far as one of the lateral edges of the adhesive layer. The invention further relates to a release liner having a surface which has at least one ridge, wherein none of the ridges extends as far as one of the lateral edges of the release liner.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates to viscoelastic damping materials and constructions which may demonstrate low temperature performance and adhesion and which may be used in making vibration damping composites. Viscoelastic damping materials and constructions may include polymers or copolymers of monomers according to formula (I): CH 2═CHR1—COOR2 wherein R1 is H, CH3 or CH2CH3 and R2 is a branched alkyl group containing 12 to 32 carbon atoms.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for protecting the glass substrate (10) of liquid crystal. The device comprises a double-sided tape (20) that has the top adhesive (24) and the bottom adhesive (25) on the top and the bottom of the film (21) respectively to be attached to the glass substrate (10) and a pattern member (30) that has a sputtered anti-fingerprint layer (33) on the top of the tempered glass plate (31) that is attached to the top of the double-sided tape (20) and mark patterns with or without the design layer (34) and the shielding layer (35) on the bottom. The present invention includes the double-sided tape (20) that uses optically clear adhesive(OCA) as the top adhesive (24) applied to the top of the film (21) and uses pressure sensitive adhesive(PSA) as the bottom adhesive (25) applied to the bottom of the film (21).The effects of the present invention are the provision of good visibility, the prevention of scratches or damages caused by external shocks and the embodiment in an easily replaceable way.
Abstract:
This invention provides a polishing pad-fastening pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet capable of tightly fastening a polishing pad. The polishing pad-fastening pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet comprises a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer constituting an adhesive face of the pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet. The adhesive face exhibits a 180° peel strength of 30 N/20 mm or greater relative to a stainless steel plate.
Abstract:
Provided is a wire harness sheet that can be stored in an overlapping manner without using release paper and can be wound in a spiral shape around an electric wire bundle. A wire harness sheet 11 includes a first self-adhesive layer 15 of a sheet base material 13, the first self-adhesive layer 15 being is formed on one surface of a first common region 27, and the other surface of the first common region 27 becoming a first adhesive layer unformed portion 29; and a second self-adhesive layer 17 that is formed on at least part of one surface of a second common region 31.
Abstract:
Provided are adhesive articles and assemblies that include a flat and at least partially elastic backing along with a patterned adhesive coating on each side of the backing. When viewed from directions perpendicular to the backing, the adhesive on one side of the backing does not substantially overlap the adhesive on the opposing side of the backing. As a result, it is possible to use a stretch removable adhesive article that uses, for example, an aggressive adhesive to provide a reliable bond but still remove cleanly and easily from delicate substrates that would otherwise be damaged or destroyed if bonded with conventional adhesive constructions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is envisaged that the pressure-sensitive adhesive comprises a first layer and a second layer, the first layer being a heat-activatable pressure-sensitive adhesive which has a static glass transition temperature Tg,a or a melting point Tm,a of at least +30° C.; andthe second layer being a polyacrylate pressure-sensitive adhesive which has a static glass transition temperature of not more than +15° C.
