Abstract: One aspect of the instant application provides techniques to reduce the amount of crosstalk on single-ended signals in the pin field region of an integrated circuit device on a printed circuit board (PCB). The PCB can include a plurality of layers and an array of vias comprising a plurality of rows configured to route signals across layers. An inner layer of the PCB can include first and second signal traces positioned between first and second adjacent rows of the vias, the first signal trace positioned adjacent to the first row and the second signal trace positioned adjacent to the second row. The first signal trace can include at least one curved segment that curves around a substantial portion of a corresponding via in the first row such that separation between the first and second signal traces varies along the curved segment.

Abstract: A stretchable electronic device includes a substrate, a plurality of electronic elements, and a conductive wiring. The electronic elements and the conductive wiring are disposed on the substrate, and the conductive wiring is electrically connected to the electronic elements. The conductive wiring is formed by stacking an elastic conductive layer and a non-elastic conductive layer. A fracture strain of the elastic conductive layer is greater than a fracture strain of the non-elastic conductive layer, and the non-elastic conductive layer includes a plurality of first fragments which are separated from one another.

Abstract: In embodiments, the present invention may attach at least two isolated electronic components to an elastomeric substrate, and arrange an electrical interconnection between the components in a boustrophedonic pattern interconnecting the two isolated electronic components with the electrical interconnection. The elastomeric substrate may then be stretched such that the components separate relative to one another, where the electrical interconnection maintains substantially identical electrical performance characteristics during stretching, and where the stretching may extend the separation distance between the electrical components to many times that of the un-stretched distance.

Abstract: Some forms relate to an example stretchable electronic assembly. The stretchable electronic assembly includes a stretchable body that includes electronic components. A plurality of meandering conductors electrically connect the electronic components. The plurality of meandering conductors may be exposed from the stretchable body. A plurality of conductive pads are electrically connected to at least one of the electronic components or some of the plurality of meandering conductors. The plurality of conductive pads may be exposed from the stretchable body. The stretchable body includes an upper surface and lower surface. The plurality of meandering conductors may be exposed from the lower surface (in addition to, or alternatively to, the upper surface) of the stretchable body.

Abstract: A transmission line member includes a dielectric base body. At an intermediate point in a thickness direction of the dielectric base body, first and second signal conductors are disposed. A reference ground conductor is disposed at one side of the first and second signal conductors in the thickness direction, and an auxiliary ground conductor is disposed at the other side. At intermediate points of the first signal conductor, a coil conductor and a capacitor-defining plate conductor are disposed. The capacitor-defining plate conductor faces the reference ground conductor and the auxiliary ground conductor to connect a low pass filter and the first transmission line. A coil conductor is disposed between the second signal conductor and the reference ground conductor, and connected to the second signal conductor and the reference ground conductor to connect a high pass filter and the second transmission line.

Abstract: Described herein are flexible and stretchable LED arrays and methods utilizing flexible and stretchable LED arrays. Assembly of flexible LED arrays alongside flexible plasmonic crystals is useful for construction of fluid monitors, permitting sensitive detection of fluid refractive index and composition. Co-integration of flexible LED arrays with flexible photodetector arrays is useful for construction of flexible proximity sensors. Application of stretchable LED arrays onto flexible threads as light emitting sutures provides novel means for performing radiation therapy on wounds.
