    Abstract: A connector assembly having two ends respectively connected to a case and a main circuit board comprises a bracket, a bottom plate assembled on the bottom of the bracket and a flexible circuit board located between the bracket and the bottom plate. The bracket includes a mating surface attached to the case, a mounting surface opposite the mating surface, and a receiving cavity recessed inwardly from the mounting surface. The bracket includes a pair of openings extending through the mating surface thereof and communicating with the receiving cavity. A pair of chip modules are disposed on the flexible circuit board corresponding to the openings. One side of the flexible circuit board, which is farther away from the bracket, includes an electrical connector for mating with the main circuit board.

    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly, adapted for electrically connecting an IC package to a printed circuit board, includes a first housing used for soldering on the printed circuit board and a frame surrounding the first housing. The first housing includes a longitudinal body and a protrusion projecting forwardly from the body. The frame defines a base and two supporting arms extending from two ends of the base, each supporting arm defines a latching bent from a top edge of a free end thereof for locking the protrusion of the first housing. The electrical connector assembly includes a longitudinal holding member, the holding member has two ends respectively connecting to the free ends of said two supporting arms so that the dimension of the opening formed between the free ends of said two supporting arms is fixed.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of conductive terminals retained in the insulative housing and a shielding member being retained in the insulative housing. The insulative housing defines a tongue portion extending forwardly. And each conductive terminal defines a contacting portion exposed on a surface of the tongue portion and a soldering portion extending outside of the insulative housing, the conductive terminals includes a plurality of first conductive terminals and a plurality of second conductive terminals of which the contacting portions disposed on opposite surfaces of the tongue portion. The shielding member is disposed between the first conductive terminals and the second conductive terminals. The shielding member is touching the conductive terminals but insulated with the conductive terminals.

    Abstract: An electrical contact for connecting a chip module to a print circuit board, the electrical contact comprises a main body, an upper elastic arm and a lower mounting arm extending upwardly from the main body, and a lower elastic arm and a lower mounting arm extending downwardly from the main body. The upper mounting arm is disposed at the downside of the upper elastic arm and forms a space therebetween; the lower mounting arm is disposed at the downside of the lower elastic arm and forms a space therebetween. The upper elastic arm and the lower elastic arm are respectively deformed by the chip module and print circuit board to resist to the upper mounting arm and lower mounting arm, thereby shortening the current path between the chip module and the print circuit board for improving the high frequency performance of an electrical connector.

    Abstract: A receptacle connector includes an insulative housing defining a base and a mating tongue extending with a step portion defined at a root region of the mating tongue; a plurality of contacts disposed in the insulative housing with contacting sections exposed upon a first surface and a second surface of the mating tongue and categorized with signal contacts, power contacts and grounding contacts; a shielding plate embedded with the mating tongue and forming a pair of locking edge in two opposite lateral side edges; and an EMI collar intimately surrounding the step portion, the collar comprising two long portions covering the first surface and the second surface of the step portion and two short portions connecting with opposite ends of the long portions. A lateral rigid finger extends straight from a side of the shielding plate and touch an inner side of a short portion of the collar.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing retaining a plurality of contacts therein. The contact includes a mating part with a first body and a spring arm extending therefrom for mating a conductive pad of a CPU (Central Processing Unit), and a soldering part with a second body and a solder tail extending therefrom for mounting a solder ball thereon. The spring arm is downwardly pressed by the CPU to contact the soldering part when the CPU is mounted upon the electrical connector The mating part and the soldering part are spaced from each other either without any connection, or alternately linked with each other via a bridge transversely connected therebetween wherein the latter may optionally omit the barbed structure from one of the mating part and the soldering part.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a pair of housing units side by side arranged with each other and equipped with the corresponding contacts, respectively. A pair of protection caps are assembled to the corresponding housing units horizontally in opposite directions, respectively. A linking part is mounted upon the pair of caps with a rigid suction region thereof in a symmetrical manner. The linking part is downwardly mounted upon the pair of caps with corresponding standoffs to space the main part of the linking part from the caps in the vertical direction so as not to block the related heat dissipation.
