    Abstract: An electrical contact includes a retention section of an outer part and an extension section of an inner part parallel to each other and linked to each other via a transverse bridge located in another vertical plane perpendicular to both the retention section and the extension section. An upper contacting arm extends, toward the extension section, from an upper end of the retention section with an upper mating apex and an upper abutment tip region, and a lower contacting arm extends, toward the extension, from a lower end of the retention section with a lower mating apex and a lower abutment tip region. An upper abutment tab upwardly and obliquely extends from an upper end of the extension section toward the retention section and adapted to be mated with the upper abutment tip region when the upper contacting arm is downwardly depressed by the CPU.

    Abstract: An electrical contact includes a planar main body, a supporting arm extending upwardly from an upper edge thereof, and a spring arm extending curvedly and upwardly from a lower edge thereof with a contacting region at a free end region. The spring arm will contact the supporting arm when the spring arm is downwardly pressed by the CPU. A connecting part extends from an upper portion of the main body for connecting to a carrier strip, and includes a first connecting section coplanar with the main body, and a second connecting section perpendicular to the first connecting section wherein the carrier strip is connected to an upper edge of the second connecting section so as to be spaced from the corresponding spring arm and supporting arm, thus avoiding improper coating thereupon when the gold coating is applied to the self-contacting regions of the spring arm and supporting arm.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of signal and ground contacts retained in the housing. The housing forms opposite mating surface and mounting surface, and a plurality of signal contact passageways and ground contact passageways extending therethrough to receive the signal contacts and ground contacts therein. All the mating surface, the mounting surface and the set of interior surfaces of each signal contact passageway and each ground contact passageway are plated/coated with corresponding metal layers while some dividing structures are formed on the mating surface and the mounting surface so as to electrically separate the metal layers of the signal contact passageways from those of the ground contact passageways.

    Abstract: An electrical connector, adapted for being mounted with an accessory, comprises a body and a frame surrounding the body, the body has a base and a plurality of blocking walls extending upwardly from the base. The base and the blocking wall define a receiving cavity for receiving the accessory, the blocking wall has a locking arm extending into the receiving cavity to retain the accessory, and the frame has a pushing arm for upwardly pushing the accessory out of the receiving cavity. The electrical connector retain the accessory in the receiving cavity by the locking arm, and push the accessory out off by the pushing arm when the locking arm is released, it is simply to operation.

    Abstract: A plug connector for use with a complementary receptacle connector, includes an insulative housing defining a receiving cavity therein and a plurality of passageways on opposite of the mating cavity, a pair of terminal modules stacked on each other and a metallic shell. Each terminal module includes an insulator and a plurality of contacts loaded on insulator, the contacts includes contacting sections extending out of the insulator and tail extending out of the insulator. The insulators of the stacked terminal modules are located behind the insulative housing and the contacting sections of the contacts are disposed in the corresponding passageways. The terminal modules and the insulative housing are commonly enclosed in the metallic shell.

    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes an electrical connector and the pick-up cap assembled upon the housing of the electrical connector. A plurality of contacts are disposed in the housing and covered by the pick-up cap. The pick-up cap includes a pair of first side walls, and the housing includes a pair of first side faces corresponding to the pair of corresponding first side walls. Each first side face forms a pair of locking recesses. Each first side wall includes an operation section and a pair of latches. The operation section includes a cavity in the first side wall and a raised section above the cavity. Each latch includes a spring arm, and a hook located at the end of the spring arm and engaged within the corresponding locking recess. The latch is located within the boundary of the housing without extending beyond the corresponding side face.

    Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of conductive contacts retained in the insulative housing, each contact has a first body, a resilient arm extending upwardly and obliquely from an upper side of the first body, a soldering section extending downwardly from a lower side of the first body, and a second body extending from a lateral side of the first body in an oblique direction and having a retention section formed on an outer lateral side thereof opposite to the first body. The housing forms a receiving cavity for receiving both the first body and the second body, and a retention slot for receiving the retention section.
