Abstract: An embodiment of this disclosure provides a liquid treatment device, provided at a carbon block used for post-treating a liquid treated by the carbon block. The liquid treatment device includes: a housing; a cover; a sealing portion; a lower treatment unit; and an upper treatment unit. The liquid treatment device and the carbon block may be detachably mounted mutually, thereby enabling the liquid treatment device to be replaced independent of the carbon block. Furthermore, the liquid treatment device includes an upper treatment unit and a lower treatment unit, and a liquid inlet is provided in the housing of the liquid treatment device, thereby making distribution of the liquid flow in the carbon block more uniform.

Abstract: A submersible reverse osmosis desalination apparatus uses low temperature concentrate or brine from the desalination apparatus to provide a high volume cold liquid stream to an Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) heat engine. The OTEC engine also employs a warm liquid stream and uses the cold and warm liquid streams to obtain electrical power from a closed-cycle or open-cycle heat exchange and generator system. Use of the concentrate or brine stream provides a much greater liquid volume and much greater cold thermal energy content than would be obtained by using cold desalinated product water from the desalination apparatus in the OTEC heat engine.

Abstract: A channel for fluid flow comprising a first unit and a second unit connected to each other. The first center point is coincident with the second center point and the first diameter and the second diameter are sized such that the positive semicircular proximal end fits within the negative semicircular distal end.

Abstract: A water treatment system includes an ozone generator combined with an electrolytic chlorine generator in a compact, efficient and serviceable assembly. The system may include a modular and replaceable ozone generator, which allows a damaged or non-functional ozone generator to be quickly and efficiently replaced. In order to protect the ozone generator from damage, a fail-safe drain valve assembly may also be provided which will expel backflowing pool water before it is allowed to backflow into the ozone generator. The water treatment system may further include an insulated electrolytic chlorine generator that mitigates or eliminates current leakage for efficient operation.

Abstract: A lifting mechanism for a wastewater plant skimmer arm is provided. The device includes a member. A pair of attaching members are each connected to the member via a hinge. The pair of attaching members are parallel from each other. A skimming member is connected to the pair of attaching members, and parallel to the member. A clamp with a pin is mounted to the member. A flat bar is connected to the clamp and pivots about the pin. The flat bar includes a hook and a plurality of notches. A U-bolt placed on the skimming member includes a rod, that may engage with the hook or a notch of the plurality of notches on the flat bar. The hook may lift the skimming member by engaging with the rod. The desired position of the skimming member may be secured by engaging with a notch of the plurality of notches.
