Abstract: A motorized walker of the present invention is includes a first section and a second section including a pair of front legs and rear legs and handle members. Each rear leg and front leg include respective extension elements telescopingly engaged with the terminal ends of the respective rear legs and the front legs to allow a user to adjust the height of the walker. Each section includes a front wheel and a motor. Each section and the rear leg present a wheel of different construction.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate aids for the visually impaired. An apparatus to assist a visually impaired person in navigating an environment includes a head-worn computer, a radar system mounted on the head-worn computer and positioned to measure distances to objects in the environment within an angular field in front of the visually impaired person wearing the head-worn computer, and a processor adapted to process the measured distances from the radar system and to identify objects in the environment that are within the angular field in front of the visually impaired person. The processor is further adapted to generate feedback cues to the visually impaired person in correspondence to the measured distances within the angular field in front of the visually impaired person as the visually impaired person moves his head from side to side while navigating the environment.

Abstract: Dry eye treatment apparatus and methods are described herein which generally includes a patch or strip affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat or other forms of energy, pressure, drugs, moisture, etc. (alone or in combination) to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The treatment strip or strips include one or more strips configured to adhere to an underlying region of skin in proximity to one or both eyes of a subject such that the one or more strips allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more strips. Moreover, the one or more strips may be configured to emit energy to the underlying region of skin and where the one or more strips are shaped to follow a location of one or more meibomiam glands contained within the underlying region of skin.

Abstract: An attachable light accessory for a walker illuminates the forward and downward walking direction of an individual when using the walker. The light accessory includes a housing, a power source, and a plurality of light modules attached to the housing, a controller, and a plurality of sensors including a bump sensor, tip sensor, and light sensor. An adaptor mount is removeably attached to the light accessory, which may be attached to horizontal cross-member of the walker to allow the light accessory to be installed and retrofitted on any existing walker. The light accessory also includes a sound activated sensor for remotely activating the light accessory to help identify the location of the walker in dark areas, an audible alarm that is activated when the walker tips over, and other control and sensor features.
