    Abstract: The present disclosure relate to a process plant and a method for production of a hydrocarbon mixture from a feedstock stream comprising oxygenates and a make-up hydrogen gas stream, involving directing a feed stream, comprising the feedstock stream comprising oxygenates, the make-up hydrogen gas stream and a hydrogen rich gas stream, to contact a material catalytically active in deoxygenation under active deoxygenation conditions and withdrawing a deoxygenated product stream, characterized in the hydrogen rich gas stream comprising at least 70 vol % hydrogen, at least 0.1 vol % carbon oxides and at least 50 ppmvol H2S, with the associated benefit that such a method, where carbon oxides are allowed to be present may be realized without requiring a step of purifying said recycled hydrogen rich gas stream, e.g. by use of an amine wash.

The reactor comprises reactant by-pass inserts arranged on top of the upper tube sheet to provide for a catalyst layer on top of the upper tube sheet and also a cooling stream of reactant by-passing the upper layer of catalyst and cooling the upper tube sheet from the temperature rise due to the exothermal reaction taking place in the upper layer of catalyst.

    Abstract: In a method for the reduction of methanol emission from an ammonia plant, a chilled methanol-containing feed gas is fed to a methanol absorber, carbon dioxide is separated from the gas phase leaving the methanol absorber, the methanol-containing gas is fed to a final separator, and the chilled, methanol-free process condensate from the final separator is used to wash out the methanol in a scrubbing column. By cooling the streams to the column and inserting a number of individual wash trays in the column, a practically quantitative removal of methanol is possible.
