Abstract:
Described is an exercise tool. More particularly, it is a therapy and exercise tool specifically devised as a foot-therapy and toe-aligning device to align, separate, and stretch toes. The foot-therapy and toe-aligning device comprises a frame with a plurality of posts connected with the frame. The device is formed of an elastic material such that a user may place at least one of the plurality of posts between a user's toes and pull the post to stretch and elongate the post between the toes. Upon release, the elastic material of the post causes the post to attempt to return to its original shape, thereby causing it to expand out and conform its shape to fit snugly against the user's toes. Additionally, the elastic material allows the toe posts to be positioned and maintained at numerous locations between the user's toes for customizable positioning between the toes.
Abstract:
A jump rope has a rope rotatably attached to handles. One or both handles has a grip, and a cap on a shaft supported by one or more bearings, to allow the cap to rotate with the shaft relative to the grip. The rope extends through an adjustment hole in the cap. The shaft is moveable relative to the cap to place the handle into a locked configuration where the rope is clamped in place and prevented from moving through the cap, and into an unlocked configuration where the rope is moveable through the cap to adjust the length of the rope.
Abstract:
An eyewear apparatus which maintains a sealed cavity in front of a user's eye area when engaged to the face in an as-worn position. The device features a mask configured to contain one or both of thermal and moisture pads. The projecting edge portion surrounding said mask provides a seal to maintain the cavity between the device and the user's face to contain the temperature and humidity differential. Plugs are designed to allow the user to replace or resupply either or both of the thermal and moisture pads without removing the mask from the wearer.
Abstract:
A massage device is provided with a pouch containing a liquid medium and a massage prong for imparting massage pressure on the person's body during a massage. The pouch is configured for application to the body such that it covers an area on the body substantially larger than the massage prong. The massage prong operates and applies a force to the body through the wall of the pouch. The massage prong is permitted to move within at least a portion of the area without substantial movement of the pouch relative to the body. A lubricating layer sealed present massager can provide a relaxing and therapeutic heated or cooled massage over a large area of the body while reducing pinching and friction between the skin and the massage prong.
Abstract:
An acupressure pillow includes pressure members that are interconnected by an elastic member and arranged so that, when the user rests a body part (e.g., head or neck) on the pillow between the pressure members, the pressure members automatically adjust to accommodate the body part and produce pressure on the body part due at least in part to the elastic member, which biases the pressure members toward one another. Thus, the pressure exerted on the body part may have different vector components, including some pressure produced essentially perpendicular to the pillow surface on which the body part rests and some pressure produced at other angles due to the shape of the pressure members and the inward force on the pressure members produced by the elastic member.
Abstract:
A device (900) includes a leg engaging section (101) and a foot engaging section (102 intersecting at a heel receiver (103). The leg engaging section and the foot engaging section defining a leg insertion aperture (104). A first compression wrap member (301) and a second compression wrap member (302) extend from the leg engaging section. An inflatable bladder (501) can be disposed along the leg engaging section between the leg insertion aperture and a compressible cushion layer (902). The inflatable bladder can be selectively inflatable through a connection tube (502) exiting the inflatable bladder at a non-orthogonal angle (504) relative to an edge (507) of the inflatable bladder. The leg engaging section can define at least one channel (1002) to permit the connection tube to exit the device.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed for maintaining a temperature of water for a safety shower within a desired range using geothermal energy. A conduit containing at least 150 liters of water can be fluidly coupled to a safety shower through which at least a portion of the water can exit. The conduit can be disposed under ground soil at a depth such that the water buffer is maintained at a temperature of between 15 C. to 40 C. as a direct function of a thermal inertia of the ground soil.
Abstract:
A hand held massage device comprised of a handle (101), cord (102), and a textured object (104). Handle (101) is fixed to an end of cord (102) with textured object (104) fixed to the opposite end of cord (102). Both the handle (101) and textured object (104) can be used to apply therapeutic massage, with the handle providing manual massage stimulation to areas of the body within arm's length, while the textured object (104) provides massage stimulation to other, more difficult to reach parts of the body. The textured object (104) provides traction on fabric and conventional flooring materials which gives the user greater control during placement and use of the massage device on a variety of surface types. The design of the massage device is simple, cost-effective, and allows the user to massage his or her body on a plethora of surfaces and in a multitude of body positions.
Abstract:
A dildo, including a solid high density heat-resistant glass substrate completely covered by a relatively inert metal plating such as gold, silver, nickel, chromium or titanium, the substrate having a shaft portion, a base portion at one end and a head portion at the opposite end. In one configuration the head and base portions are enlarged, the shaft portion having spaced protuberances. In another configuration the shaft portion is serpentine in form, the head portion is tapered and having a hole formed there through for a tether, and the base portion has oppositely projecting protuberances. The metal plating can have a variety of coloring patterns.
Abstract:
A thermal therapy device including a hollow roller having a non-uniform cross-section along its length to define a thermally conductive external surface. Two end caps, one on each end of the roller, in combination with the thermally conductive external surface of the roller, collectively define a single thermal-medium-receiving reservoir. A first pin coupled to one of the end caps is aligned with a second pin coupled to the other end cap to define a central axis about which the roller may rotate. A frame including two spaced apart lateral supports interconnected by two spaced apart support arms defines a roller receiving opening dimensioned to removably receive the roller. The support arms each having a pin receiving opening such that the pin receiving openings are collinear with one another and dimensioned to removably receive one of the pins when the roller is releasably and rotatably connected to the frame.
