    Abstract: An example assistive ambulation system is described herein. The system includes a walker including a base frame, a walker frame attached to the base frame, a plurality of rolling members attached to the base frame, and a hoist attached to the walker. The base frame includes a pair of support members and a base cross member. Each of the support members extends between forward and rearward ends of the walker. Additionally, the pair of support members are spaced apart and substantially parallel to one another. The base cross member extends transversely between the pair of support members. The walker frame includes a pair of bent posts and a walker cross member. Each of the bent posts extends upward from the base frame. Additionally, the pair of bent posts are spaced apart and substantially parallel to one another. The walker cross member extends transversely between the pair of bent posts.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an assisted rehabilitation system comprising a device with static-bicycle movement, and devices that automatically sense and manipulate body performance parameters, allowing the rehabilitation response process of a user to be optimised. In particular, the sensing devices measure the pedalling rate, the pedalling resistance and the user's pulse rate, allowing the optimum exercising range to be configured, depending on the data acquired from the patient and on the level of effort required from him or her. The system also comprises two motors. One motor drives a flywheel that allows the user to experience a variation in the pedalling rate while using the device. A second motor provides different levels of pedalling resistance, allowing muscular strength to be developed. When starting the activity, the user enters, on a touchscreen, the preliminary parameters for the desired pedalling rate and resistance level, which are analysed by a processing unit that calculates a suitable rehabilitation plan.

    Abstract: A walking aid vehicle (1) includes: an operation part (3) provided on an upper portion of a vehicle body for grasping by a user in a walking posture; a detector (30) for detecting an operation force applied to the operation part; and an inclination detector (20) for detecting inclination of the vehicle body. When an advance direction inclination detected by the detector is less than threshold, a normal control (100) generates a normal direction torque in the drive motor (40L, 40R) responsive to pushing the operation part (3) forward and generates a reverse direction torque in the drive motor responsive to pulling the operation part rearward, and when the advance direction inclination is equal to or greater than threshold and pushing operation force is detected, a shift to a pull control (110) is made which generates normal direction torque in the drive motor responsive to a pulling operation force.
