Abstract: Pasteurization system with purification of the process liquid, with a feed and evacuation conveyor system for containers. At least one treatment zone with sprinkling nozzles to spray the containers with a process liquid such as water, the treatment zone including a screening unit with a sedimentation area for the deposition of sediment from the process liquid, a closed-loop circuit to re-use the process liquid, with devices to remove the sediment from the sedimentation area for each zone and to feed the sediment into a central filter unit. The central filter unit has at least one filter module for the filtration of solid matter from the inputted sediment so that the filtered process liquid is conserved. Devices to return the filtered process liquid to one or several treatment zones are also provided.

Abstract: A well (18) is mounted on an extension (12) of a brine tank (10) in a water softener system. The extension (12) can be molded integrally with the brine tank (10), or separate from the brine tank (10) and mounted thereto by fasteners (24). The extension (12) extends above the horizontal plane (14) at the upper edge (16) of the brine tank (10) and the well (18) is mounted to the extension (12) above the horizontal plane (14). A riser (20) is mounted to the extension (12) for external connection and extends into the well (18). All necessary connections to components in the well (18) are made through the extension (12) above the horizontal plane (14) so that no passages need be made through the wall (22) of the brine tank (10). Also, the upper end of the well (18) is above the horizontal plane (14) to facilitate servicing.

Abstract: A system for intercepting, treating and venting vapors from contaminated groundwater includes a borehole that extends into the groundwater and has an open top end, a porous liner against the outer wall of the borehole and porous fill material inside the liner. The fill material can include materials to retard and degrade contaminants in the vapors. The system can include a slotted aeration tube in the borehole, vegetation planted in the open end of the borehole, impermeable sections in the liner, and impermeable ground cover around the top end of the borehole. A method for intercepting, treating and venting of vapors from contaminated groundwater includes the system and pulling vapors out the top end of the borehole with variations in atmospheric barometric pressure.

Abstract: A combined device for sewage deep treatment integrally consists of an open box body (1) divided into multiple water treatment units (29) by a partition wall (27). Each water treatment unit (29) is divided into multiple grids by a partition wall (27′). The lower part of the box body (1) is provided with a conical structure (30) having a discharging door (22) thereunder. The partition wall (27) of the box body (1) has a water blocking belt (33) in the middle thereof, and the box body (1) has rails (31) mounted on two sides of the top thereof, rails (31) having an electric operating platform (2) mounted thereon. The box body (1) is filled with water processing granular carbon (32). Also disclosed is a sewage treatment method employing the combined sewage deep-treatment device. With the method, it is convenient to replace activated carbon, thereby solving the problem that it is difficult for the sewage treatment system to operate continuously and stably when replacing the activated carbon in traditional activated carbon filter.

Abstract: A source liquid including a solvent with a dissolved impurity flows into a reservoir. The source liquid or a concentration of the source liquid is pumped from the reservoir through a pressure exchanger into an upstream side of a liquid-separation module. The module includes a membrane that at least partially purified solvent as filtrate to a permeate side of the liquid-separation module while diverting the impurity in a feed retentate on the upstream side of the liquid-separation module. The substantially pure water is extracted from the permeate side of the liquid-separation module, while the feed retentate is passed from the upstream side of the liquid-separation module through the pressure exchanger, where pressure from the feed retentate is transferred to the feed from the reservoir. The feed retentate is then passed from the pressure exchanger to the reservoir and recirculated as a component of the feed via the above steps.
