Abstract:
An image forming apparatus has a reading unit configured to read image information on a sheet, and a segregating unit configured to detect an identifier image from the image information read by the reading unit and to segregate plural applications of the sheet on the basis of the identifier image.
Abstract:
A printing apparatus which is capable of eliminating a burden on an operator in managing a copy number on a printout and improving security for the printout when a function for printing the copy number on the printout is realized. Printing based on a print job is performed, and a copy number set in units of copies on a printout generated by the printing is printed. Number of printed copies information corresponding to the number of printed copies of the print job is stored, in association with the print job. When the print job stored in a memory section 27 is printed, a printer section 26 prints the copy number on the printout based on the number of printed copies information associated with the print job.
Abstract:
This invention provides a first communication apparatus, which makes a facsimile communication via a packet communication network and can describe different contents image header information each including a date, time, source information, destination information, and the like in image data having a predetermined number of pixels upon sending the image data to a plurality of destinations, and a communication method. This invention also provides a second communication apparatus which makes a facsimile communication via a packet communication network and has a first mode in which image header information such as a date, time, source information, destination information, and the like can be described in image data having a predetermined number of pixels and can send the image data, and a second mode in which image data having one of various resolutions and an indefinite number of pixels can be sent.
Abstract:
This invention efficiently implements encoding processes corresponding to respective image processing functions while minimizing the memory use size in the apparatus in an image processing apparatus having many image processing functions. A data processing apparatus of this invention includes a data reception unit for receiving at least data of a first format for respective pages, a data conversion unit for converting the data of the first format into data of a second format, a page data management unit for managing the data of the first and second formats in first and second page data in association with each other, and a control unit for monitoring a storage state of the data of the first format in the memory, and permitting a predetermined process for the data of the first format in accordance with the storage state. When the control unit determines that storage of the data of the first format in the memory is complete, the control unit permits the data conversion unit to start a data conversion operation from the first format to the second format. Also, the control unit monitors completion of the conversion operation of the data conversion unit and a storage state of the data of the second format in the memory, and permits a predetermined process for the data of the second format in accordance with the storage state.
Abstract:
A digital capture system, such as a digital still camera or digital video recorder, has an embedded real-time content-based analysis function in the capture device to extract metadata from the digital signals. In one embodiment, metadata (descriptive information about the digital content) is formatted and stored separately from the content. In another embodiment, the metadata may be formatted and combined with the digital content in a container format such as MPEG-7, QuickTime, or FlashPix.
Abstract:
A printed material is electrically read, and electrical data of the printed material is input as a reference comparison image. The feature amount of a region to be processed containing a page image contained in the reference comparison image is extracted. A target comparison image corresponding to the reference comparison image is retrieved from a storage medium by using the extracted feature amount. The retrieved image is processed.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus has: character data forming means for forming character data; synthesizing means for synthesizing the character data formed by the character data forming means with image data; image output means for printing a synthesis result of the synthesizing means onto a sheet; sheet post-processing means for performing a post-process to the sheet outputted by the image output means; and adjusting means for adjusting a printing position of the character data and a processing position of the sheet post-processing means.
Abstract:
A digital camera capable of readily recognizing the printing-specifying information that has been set. Printing-specifying information is set for digital image data acquired by photographing. When an image for which printing-specifying information has been set is displayed on a monitor provided in the digital camera, the image is displayed along with the set printing-specifying information.
Abstract:
A compound recording method and compound recording apparatus are provided for producing a printed product. The apparatus includes a plurality of image forming devices to form images on a plurality of recording sheets based on a plurality of image data arbitrarily obtained. Each of the image forming devices forms a separate image on a separate recording sheet in parallel with other image forming devices, and a sheet finisher is provided to accept the plurality of recording sheets ejected from the plurality of image forming devices and apply a designated finish-processing to the plurality of recording sheets on which the images are already formed by the plurality of image forming devices.
Abstract:
A holder and a method of making an index print using the holder. The method comprising the steps of: 1) providing a holder having at least one sleeve for holding a film, said film having at least one developed image therein; 2) scanning the holder so as to obtain a digital record representative of the images present on said negative film; and 3) printing the digital record so as to form an index print wherein said at least one image is placed in a predetermined pattern.
