    Abstract: The present invention provides a fullerene production device that enables improving fullerene yields. The fullerene production device includes: a reacting furnace (2) in which fullerenes are generated through incomplete combustion of a raw material gas containing a hydrocarbon; a first injection unit (23c) configured to incompletely combust the raw material gas while injecting the raw material gas into the reacting furnace (2) to form a first combustion flame; and a second injection unit (25a) configured to combust an auxiliary gas containing a hydrocarbon that is the same as or different from that in the raw material gas while injecting the auxiliary gas into the reacting furnace (2) to form a second combustion flame.

    Abstract: A reactor according to an embodiment of the present invention, the reactor including: a mixing chamber formed as a circular tube; a first injection nozzle connected to the mixing chamber while maintaining a predetermined spacing along a circumferential direction and configured to inject a first mixture; an annular chamber disposed spaced apart from an outer side of the mixing chamber; a second injection nozzle configured to connect the annular chamber to the mixing chamber to inject a second mixture supplied to the annular chamber in a direction intersecting the injection of the first mixture; and an outlet pipe connected to the mixing chamber to discharge a reactant produced by mixing the first and second mixtures in the mixing chamber, in which the second injection nozzle is spaced apart from the first injection nozzle by a predetermined angle in the circumferential direction.

    Abstract: Processes and systems for dehydrogenating ethylbenzene may include mixing a steam stream and an ethylbenzene stream to form a feed mixture. The ethylbenzene/steam feed mixture may then be fed to a dehydrogenation reactor containing an alkali metal promoted catalyst. A liquid, selected from an alkali metal liquid, an alkali metal compound liquid, or a liquid solution comprising an alkali metal, may be injected into a feed stream, such as the steam stream, the ethylbenzene stream, or the ethylbenzene/steam feed mixture. Following injection, the liquid vaporizes and disperses into the feed stream upstream of the dehydrogenation reactor. The liquid may be maintained as a liquid from a point upstream of injection to an injection nozzle. The liquid is dispersed through the injection nozzle, in liquid form, to form droplets of liquid dispersed in the feed stream, which evaporate and/or dissolve into the vaporous feed stream.
