    Abstract: An optical sensor device may include a set of optical sensors. The optical sensor device may include a substrate. The optical sensor device may include a multispectral filter array disposed on the substrate. The multispectral filter array may include a first dielectric mirror disposed on the substrate. The multispectral filter array may include a spacer disposed on the first dielectric mirror. The spacer may include a set of layers. The multispectral filter array may include a second dielectric mirror disposed on the spacer. The second dielectric mirror may be aligned with two or more sensor elements of a set of sensor elements.

    Abstract: Improved techniques for thermal imaging and gas detection are provided. In one example, a system includes a first set of filters configured to pass first filtered infrared radiation comprising a first range of thermal wavelengths associated with a background portion of a scene. The system also includes a second set of filters configured to pass second filtered infrared radiation comprising a second range of thermal wavelengths associated with a gas present in the scene. The first and second ranges are independent of each other. The system also includes a sensor array comprising adjacent infrared sensors configured to separately receive the first and second filtered infrared radiation to capture first and second thermal images respectively corresponding to the background portion and the gas. Additional systems and methods are also provided.

    Abstract: Creating a model calibrating spectral apparatus having an optical system that converts light to be measured into a spectrum, and a light-receiving sensor including a plurality of sensors that outputs signals, the sensors include sensors that output signals indicating respective energy amounts of a plurality of wavelength components. The model shows where a linear function of an indicator indicating a mechanical error in the spectral apparatus, expresses deviation of an indicator indicating spectral sensitivity of the sensor from the indicator indicating the reference spectral sensitivity of the sensor. The method comprises: a) acquiring reference spectral sensitivity; b) acquiring an indicator indicating the reference spectral sensitivity of the sensor acquired at a); and c) creating the model where the linear function of the mechanical error indicator expresses deviation of the spectral sensitivity indicator from the indicator indicating the reference spectral sensitivity of the sensor, acquired at b).

    Abstract: Systems and methods for determining one or more properties of a sample are disclosed. The systems and methods disclosed can be capable of measuring along multiple locations and can reimage and resolve multiple optical paths within the sample. The system can be configured with one-layer or two-layers of optics suitable for a compact system. The optics can be simplified to reduce the number and complexity of the coated optical surfaces, et al. on effects, manufacturing tolerance stack-up problems, and interference-based spectroscopic errors. The size, number, and placement of the optics can enable multiple simultaneous or non-simultaneous measurements at various locations across and within the sample. Moreover, the systems can be configured with an optical spacer window located between the sample and the optics, and methods to account for changes in optical paths due to inclusion of the optical spacer window are disclosed.

    Abstract: An example system includes a light source, a first spectrometer, a second spectrometer, and an electronic control module. The light source is operable to emit light within a first range of wavelengths in a field of illumination. The first spectrometer is operable to measure first sample light reflected from an object within a second range of wavelengths and in a first field of detection. The second spectrometer is operable to measure second sample light reflected from the object within a third range of wavelengths and in a second field of detection. The electronic control module operable to determine, based on the measured first sample light and the measured second sample light, a distance between the system and the object, and determine, based on the measured first sample light and the measured second sample light, a spectral distribution of light corresponding to the object.
