    Abstract: A display device has a gate drive circuit that performs scanning to sequentially supply a gate signal, and a source drive circuit that inverts the polarity of the voltage applied to the source line in each vertical scanning period. The gate drive circuit starts scanning from a first gate line among the plurality of gate lines when scanning the gate lines in a preceding period of two consecutive vertical scanning periods, and starts scanning from a second gate line different from the first gate line when scanning the gate lines in a period following the preceding period of two vertical scanning periods.

    Abstract: A lighting device includes light sources, a board having a mount surface on which the light sources are arranged, and a reflection member disposed on the mount surface of the board and having a rectangular plan view shape. The reflection member includes insertion holes in each of which at least one of the light sources is disposed and wall portions defining a surface area of the reflection member into reflection areas in a grid. Some of the wall portions surround at least one of the insertion holes. The reflection areas include a first reflection area at a corner portion of the reflection member. The wall portions include one wall portion that is included in the first reflection area and the one wall portion includes a passing portion through which light from one of the light sources that is adjacent to the reflection area via the one wall portion passes.

    Abstract: An augmented reality display device causes a user to perceive first and second images at different distances in a state where the user can perceive a real environment. The augmented reality display device includes: a display panel which emits polarized lights for first and second images; a surface-divided polarization conversion component; and an optical element and a concave semi-transparent mirror. The surface-divided polarization conversion component in a plan view includes: a first transmissive part; and a second transmissive part which introduces a phase difference different by λ/2 from a phase difference introduced by the first transmissive part. The optical element makes a first image generated from the first polarized light transmitted through the first transmissive part different in virtual image distance from a second image generated from the second polarized light transmitted through the second transmissive part.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a base substrate; a thin-film transistor layer provided on the base substrate and having a first metal layer containing a copper film; and a light-emitting element layer provided on the thin-film transistor layer, and including a plurality of pixel electrodes, a plurality of light-emitting functional layers, and a common electrode, all of which are sequentially stacked on top of another and corresponding to a plurality of subpixels. A terminal unit includes a plurality of terminals formed of a same material as, and arranged in a same layer as, the first metal layer. Each of the pixel electrodes is formed of a second metal layer containing a silver film. On each of the terminals, a terminal protective layer formed of a transparent conductive film is provided.

    Abstract: A pixel circuit with sensing function that can perform sensing operation and display operation in a simultaneous and parallel manner is implemented using a small number of elements. For each pixel circuit (20) there are provided a sensor circuit (22) connected to a control node (NG) and including three or less circuit elements; and a read circuit (24) connected to a second conductive terminal of a drive transistor (T4) and including one read transistor (T9). A sensing process is performed during a period during which a drive current is supplied to an organic EL element (21) depending on a potential at the control node (NG). A sensing result reading process is performed by maintaining the read transistor (T9) in on state during a predetermined period after ending the sensing process.
