Abstract:
A water purifying filter has a cylindrical inner housing to receive a filter therein, and an outer housing to receive the inner housing. The inner housing and the outer housing are spaced apart from each other to form an insulation space configured to suppress heat transfer and to reduce the filter freezing inside the inner housing.
Abstract:
An apparatus for the extraction of phosphorus from wastewater that includes a precipitation module and a retention module. The precipitation module includes a crystallization vessel, one or more inlets disposed in a lower region of the precipitation module and at least one outlet disposed in an upper region of the precipitation module. The retention module includes a sedimentation vessel, at least one inlet disposed in an upper region of the retention module and at least one outlet disposed in a lower region of the retention module. At least one outlet of the precipitation module is connected to at least one inlet of the retention module and at least one outlet of the retention module is connected to at least one inlet of the precipitation module. The volume VS of the sedimentation vessel is greater than/equal to 0.6 times the volume VC of the crystallization vessel (VS≧0.6·VC).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a portable, solar-thermal device for the treatment of drinking water from waste water, comprising an evaporation container that accommodates the waste water, a condensation apparatus having a flow connection to the evaporation container, and a separator arranged between the evaporation container and the condensation apparatus for separating and leading away the condensate obtained in the condensation apparatus. According to the invention, the separator has passage openings for the transfer of water vapor into the condensation apparatus, which is arranged on the top side of the device in the operating position of the device, and a drain opening for the condensate arising in the condensation apparatus, which drain opening can be connected to a collecting container, wherein the evaporation container, which is arranged on the bottom side of the separator, is designed as a flexible film bag.
Abstract:
Apparatus for purifying a fluid, which comprises electrode layers facing each other, power supplied to different polarities with spacer layers interposed, and traversed by a flow of fluid to be treated containing ionized particles. The electrode layers and the spacer layers are wound as a spiral around a longitudinal extension axis inside the suitably cylindrical containment structure. The power supply comprises a pair of collectors that are extended with portions inside the winding connected to the corresponding first internal sides of the electrode layers at the longitudinal extension axis.
Abstract:
In one example, a adapter element is provide that is suitable for use with a water filter cartridge. The adapter element includes a support structure, and a lower contact portion that is connected to the support structure and releasably engageable with an upper portion of a water filter cartridge. In addition, an upper contact portion is connected to the support structure and arranged for contact with a portion of a pitcher when the adapter element is disposed in the pitcher.
Abstract:
A water treatment assembly generally in the form of a filter faucet generally of the type mounted on a sink or similar countertop surface. The water treatment assembly generally comprises a mounted valve assembly, an inline water filter, and a water spout. The inline water filter is configured intermediate the mounted valve assembly and the spout. The inline water filter has a watertight shell comprising a water inflow port and a water outflow port that allow the filter to be used as a readily replaceable and disposable modular filter cartridge. The filter inflow port allows for releasable fluid engagement with the valve assembly. The filter outflow port comprises a fitting for receiving the spout. Water flow through the filter and spout is controlled by the valve assembly. The combined assembly permits the new use of standard components improved in a cost effective manner to form a reliable filter faucet.
Abstract:
A water filtration systems may comprise an under the sink RO water filtration system that is plumed into a building's water supply. For example, the water filtration systems may include an RO device at least partially installed underneath a sink, with the tap water connection plumbed directly to the sink cold water supply line, and a waste water drain line connected directly to the sink drain, such as the p-trap.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a filtering apparatus capable of minimizing the relative vibration of the filtering membrane module within the frame structure during the aeration cleaning process, thereby preventing the damage of the filtering membrane module which might be caused due to the relative vibration as well as the separation of the filtering membrane module from the frame structure. The filtering apparatus comprises a frame structure including a cross bar and a filtering membrane module installed in the frame structure. The cross bar comprises a first rib inserted into a receiver of the header of the filtering membrane module. The filtering apparatus further comprises a stopper fastened to an end of the first rib passing through a through-hole of the receiver so as to prevent the filtering membrane module from being separated from the frame structure.

Abstract:
A filtration system for an appliance includes a water source coupled with the appliance to provide an intake water flow. A filter unit is coupled with water source to receive the intake water flow and dispense a filtered water flow. An isolation valve is coupled between the water source and the filter unit and movable between a first position and a second position. A distribution valve is coupled with an ice maker and a water dispenser of the appliance. The distribution valve receives the filtered water flow when the isolation valve is in the first position, and the distribution valve receives the intake water flow via a bypass line when the isolation valve is in the second position. The isolation valve is configured to move to the second position upon expiration of the service life of the filter unit.
