Abstract: One embodiment of the invention provides an electrolytic treatment unit comprising a casing, a plate bundle, a cathode and an anode. The casing has a longitudinal axis. The plate bundle is positioned in the casing. The plate bundle comprises a plurality of spaced-apart parallel plates and each plate is positioned normal to the longitudinal axis. The cathode or anode are connected to selected plates of the bundle. Another embodiment of the invention provides an electrolytic treatment unit comprising a casing, a baffle separating the casing into first and second compartment, and a plate bundle positioned in each compartment. A cathode is connected to one bundle and an anode to the other bundle. A product stream is taken from each compartment. To achieve needed throughput at low head, the plates are spaced in the range of 1 cm to 10 cm apart.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrolyzed water manufacturing device for producing hypochlorous acid water containing hypochlorous acid using hydrochloric acid as an electrolyte, comprising: a hydrochloric acid container for storing the hydrochloric acid as the electrolyte; an electrolytic bath which is connected to the hydrochloric acid container, includes an electrode, and produces slightly weak acidic hypochlorous acid water containing a high-density chlorine solution through electrolysis of the hydrochloric acid; a hydrochloric acid supply pump provided between the hydrochloric acid container and the electrolytic bath so as to supply the hydrochloric acid to the electrolytic bath; and a venturi pipe which is connected to an upper part of the electrolytic bath, is formed between an inlet and an outlet through which dilution water passes, includes a neck part having a smaller pipe diameter in comparison with the inlet and the outlet, and an extraction pipe for connecting the neck part and the electrolytic bath, such that the high-density chlorine solution generated from the electrolytic bath is aspirated through the reduction of the pressure generated from the neck part when the dilution water passes through, and the aspirated high-density chlorine solution is diluted using the dilution solution and the diluted high-density chlorine solution is discharged. The apparatus for producing slightly weak acidic hypochlorous acid water, according to the present invention further, comprises: a discharging pipe connected to the outlet of the venturi pipe; and a screw blade which is inserted into the discharging pipe and accelerates the contact reaction between the high-density chlorine solution discharged from the non-diaphragm type electrolytic bath and the dilution water, wherein the screw blade is preferably composed of flexible plastic material.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a method of regenerating a capacity of a flow-through capacitor. A target value for a water property concentration in a discharge water stream exiting the flow-through capacitor is established. A feed value for the water property concentration in a feed water stream entering the flow-through capacitor is measured. An amount of the water property concentration to be added to the feed water stream is calculated based on the feed value to achieve the target value for the water property concentration in the discharge water stream. An amperage of the flow-through capacitor and a flow rate through the flow-through capacitor is controlled to add ions to the feed water stream to achieve the target value for the water property concentration in the discharge water stream. In some embodiments, the amperage can be set and the flow rate controlled to achieve the target concentration.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a floating pool water controller for dispensing germicide and antimicrobial material into a swimming pool based upon real time pool conditions. The controller includes the ability to adjust to these ever changing conditions in real time, and, to do so remotely. The controller includes a housing adapted for floating on the pool water. Additionally, a dispenser is provided for dispensing Cu ion into the pool and includes a dispenser assembly connected to the housing. The controller is provided with a controller for adjusting the amount of Cu ion dispensed into the pool water. And, the controller includes a probe extending from the housing into the pool water for sensing pool conditions. Thus, upon sensing the pool conditions in real time, the controller can be adjusted to dispense the proper amount of Cu ion into the pool water.

Abstract: A pool water purifying device includes a rough filtration module having a first housing. A rough filter is received in the first housing. An electrolyzing module includes a second housing. Two electrodes and an ultraviolet lamp are mounted to the second housing and extend into the second housing. The electrodes are electrically connected to a power supply. A fine filtration module includes a third housing receiving a fine filter. A piping unit includes a plurality of pipes and a plurality of valves. The valves connect the first, second, and third housings to intercommunicate the first, second, and third housings with each other. The valves are mounted on the pipes to control communication between the pipes.
