Abstract: The disclosure is directed to automatically determining conversation patterns that distinguish a first set of participants from a second set of participants. For example, a first set of participants can be top-performing representatives and the second set of participants can be low-performing representatives. A pattern recognition system analyzes a first set of recordings of the top-performing representatives to extract a first set of features associated with the first set of recordings, and analyzes the first set of features to generate first pattern data that is indicative of a pattern of the conversation of the top-performing representatives. Similarly, the pattern recognition system also generates second pattern data that is indicative of a pattern of the conversation of the low-performing representatives. The pattern recognition system analyzes the first pattern data and the second pattern data to generate distinctive features that distinguish the first pattern from the second pattern.

Abstract: A system and method for performance-based routing of interactions in a contact center. A routing server receives information on an interaction to be routed, and identifies a call reason for the interaction. The identification of the call reason may be based, for example, speech analytics. The routing server identifies one or more agents having experience in handling the topic. The routing server further determines a proficiency level of the identified agents in handling the topic, and selects one of the identified agents having at least a minimum level of proficiency. The routing server transmits a message for routing the interaction to the selected agent.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for a computer and telecommunication network which can receive, send and manage information from or to a subscriber of the network, based on the subscriber's configuration. The network is made up of at least one cluster containing voice servers which allow for telephony, speech recognition, text-to-speech and conferencing functions, and is accessible by the subscriber through standard telephone connections or through internet connections. The network also utilizes a database and file server allowing the subscriber to maintain and manage certain contact lists and administrative information. A web server is also connected to the cluster thereby allowing access to all functions through internet connections.

Abstract: A system capable of connecting a home telephone circuit connected to a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to a server via a data network using an adapter. The system may enable a telephone connected to the home telephone circuit to perform voice commands by sending audio data from the telephone to the server via the data network and the server determining the voice commands included in the audio data. Based on the voice command, the server may send an instruction to the adapter via the data network, the instruction causing the adapter to initiate a telephone call over the PSTN. Additionally, the server may send an instruction to any device associated with a user profile corresponding to the adapter. Thus, the system may enable the telephone to control a number of devices within the home using the voice commands.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to analyzing voice conversations between participants of conversations and coordinating calls between participants, e.g., in order to influence an outcome of the voice conversation. For example, sales calls can be coordinated between specific sales representatives (“representatives”) and customers by routing a sales call from a customer to a specific sales representative, based on their voices and the content of the conversation, with the goal of positively influencing the outcome of the sales call. A mapping between sales representatives and customers that is set to maximize the probability for certain outcomes is generated. This mapping (or pairing) may be fed into either an automatic or manual coordination system that connects or bridges sales representatives with customers. The mapping may be generated either based on historic data or early-call conversation analysis, in both inbound and outbound calls.

Abstract: A system and method for presenting substantially simultaneous voice and text to an assisted user (AU) during a voice conversation between the AU and a hearing user (HU), the hearing user using an HU device to talk to the assisted user, the system comprising an AU captioned device including a device processor, a relay that includes a relay display, a relay speaker and a relay processor, wherein, at least one of the device processor and the relay processor is programmed to perform the steps of receiving an HU voice signal comprising a sequence of HU voice segments and assigning time stamps to each of the HU voice segments, wherein, the relay processor is programmed to perform the steps of generating text segments corresponding to each HU voice segment, storing each HU voice segment along with a corresponding text segment and a corresponding time stamp in a memory device, broadcasting the HU voice segments to a call assistant (CA) via the relay speaker and presenting each text segment via the relay display substantially contemporaneously with broadcast of the corresponding HU voice segment.
