Abstract:
An information process system that makes it possible to easily a create process definition ticket according to a template created by checking common capabilities of devices. Devices that have a potential for being used to execute a process based on the process definition ticket defining the process comprised of a plurality of processes on a network are selected, and information on capabilities of the selected devices is obtained. Process items included in the template are designated. Functions common or uncommon to the devices are displayed in an identifiable manner based on the information on the capabilities of the devices in the designated process items. A process definition ticket template including common capabilities of the selected devices is generated with respect to the designated process items based on checking of a display. A process definition ticket that is to be executed using the devices is created based on the generated template.
Abstract:
A method of creating an e-mail address book and sending an e-mail by using the e-mail address book in an image forming apparatus, and an image forming apparatus using the method. A method of sending an e-mail by using an e-mail address book in an image forming apparatus capable of scanning a document, includes receiving basic information of at least one receiver and a scan option corresponding to the at least one receiver; storing the basic information and the scan option in the e-mail address book; selecting a receiver from the e-mail address book; scanning the document in accordance with a scanning option corresponding to the selected receiver; attaching the scanned document to the e-mail and sending the e-mail to the selected receiver
Abstract:
A mechanism which can avoid, as much as possible, a difference of picture quality that is caused by restricting color printing according to an authority and forcedly performing monochromatic printing is provided. A mechanism which restricts the color printing according to the authority without deteriorating performance is also provided. The processing refers to a color restricting mode in user information or a color restricting mode in setting information. When the referred color restricting mode indicates “force”, if the user does not have the authority in which a color job can be printed, the job is forcedly converted into monochrome. In case of “analyze”, if the user does not have the authority in which a color job can be printed, the job is analyzed. If it is the color job, a forced monochromatic printing or print inhibition is performed.
Abstract:
A system that generates an electronically readable image file that represents an image. In one embodiment, the system comprises an image input, an encoding module, and a tag module. The image input obtains color information representative of an image. The encoding module encodes the color information representative of the image into an image file by encoding the color information into a format associated with the image file. The tag module inserts a tag into the image file, wherein the tag is an object to be rendered, and conveys information about the generation of the image file.
Abstract:
A system, media, and method for transforming a main image of a digital image in accordance with a parameter are provided. The main image that is transformed based on the parameter may be one stored in the Exchangeable Image File (“EXIF”) format. In turn, the metadata, including the thumbnail image, is updated to correspond to the transformed main image. The transformed main image and updated metadata are stored together in a file using the EXIF format. Thus, the transformed main image may be viewed using a digital camera or viewer software compatible with a properly formatted EXIF file.
Abstract:
In an image data processing device, correcting of input color image data, converting the input data to monochrome image, and judging whether the image expressed by the input color image data is a color image or a monochrome image, are all performed simultaneously; the corrected color image data and the converted monochrome image data are stored; and based on the judgment, any one of the color image data and the monochrome image data stored are transmitted to an external device via a communicating unit.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus of the invention includes a read unit to read an image and to generate temporal image data from the image, a capacity specifying unit to specify a specified capacity for final image data, and a generation condition setting unit to set a generation condition for generating the final image data from the temporal image data, the final image data not exceeding the specified capacity is generated, and the capacity of the generated final image data is displayed.
Abstract:
According to an aspect of the present invention, when a printer which is directly connected to a digital camera via a communication interface and records image data transmitted from the digital camera receives a recording request from the camera, the printer acquires an image data amount to be supplied from the digital camera, and determines whether to be able to receive the whole image data at once and process the image data. In a case where it is determined that the image data is not able to be processed, the printer requests segmented data of the image data stored in the digital camera. The printer receives the segmented data a plurality of number of times, and prints the whole image data.
Abstract:
A user operates the operation panel portion 6 and selects an image quality mode in a pre-stage of carrying but CD-R printing. If an operation of commencing CD-R printing on the operation panel portion 6 is enabled, the CPU 16 causes the scanner unit 21 to scan a sample CD-R 25 and takes in the image data. The CPU 16 causes the taken-in image data to be subjected to an image working process and masks pixels not required to be printed. The ASIC 20 transfers the processed image data to the printer unit 22 and executes CD-R printing. At this time, the CPU 16 carries out scanning and printing at a resolution responsive to the image quality mode.
Abstract:
An image communication apparatus having an Internet facsimile communication device and a G3 facsimile communication device includes a detector for detecting a facsimile function of a communication partner's apparatus during communication by the G3 facsimile communication device, and a controller for performing control of causing the G3 facsimile communication device to disconnect communication in a G3 facsimile mode and shifting to communication by the Internet facsimile communication device, based on the detection of the facsimile function of the communication partner's apparatus by the detector.
