Abstract:
An improved walking stick has following improvements: The focus of its electric torch can be adjusted by a finger at any time for pinpointing a small location or for shining a wide area. The stem is adjustable by double-safe construction for keeping adjusted stem firmly in position and is more solid and stable than any prior art after adjusting. The tiny-article carrying box is detachable, the user can attach it on the stick or detach it from the stick freely. Besides, boxes with different sizes and shapes can be prepared for different choices. A soft PTR plastic jacket is molded on the whole handle for increasing comfortable of gripping with maximum friction coefficient. A horn type cover for beeper is added for enhancing the sound effect therefore the beeper sounds loudly than the same beeper without such acoustic cover. And will sound more loudly when the horn opening is approached by something.
Abstract:
An automatic functioning light and warning system with remote signaling for use with mobility assistance devices, such as wheelchairs and walkers, having a housing, at least one detachable clamp connected to the housing, a battery-powered light incorporated into the housing, an internal audio alarm incorporated into the housing, an active or passive motion detection sensor and associated signal processing circuitry incorporated within the housing. The invention may use replaceable or rechargeable batteries as the power source. The remote receiver may be a stand alone device or interfaced into a monitoring system. A time delay circuit may be incorporated into the invention to automatically turn the light or alarm off at a predetermined time after activation and a sensor that prevents actuation of the light source when ambient light is above a predetermined threshold.
Abstract:
Reflective fabrics are used extensively throughout strong, expandable, selectively and resiliently restrained, fabric accessories for removable securement to crutches and walkers, to provide expandable carrying volumes for personal use items and shopping items, while at the same time presenting the reflective fabric portions to be readily observed, especially by operators of vehicles. In this Divisional Application, the claims are directed to providing a pocket accessory for walkers.
Abstract:
System for providing feedback to a user of a walking aid to regulate his gait, stance and/or activity irregularities, the system being configured to be installed on a walking aid comprising a frame, at least two wheels, two handles and wherein the frame comprises an intermediate supporting frame between the left and right handles of the frame, the system comprising a configuration of sensors for measuring at least one gait, stance and/or activity indicator, a user profile comprising user gait, stance and activity characteristics, a configuration of at least one stimuli generating devices configured to provide feedback to the user with at least one of a tactile, visual or auditory cue based on the measurements of the sensors and on the user profile.
Abstract:
Provided herein is an interactive sex toy and sex toy system with optional virtual reality integration. A first embodiment comprises a phallic shaped housing having a plurality of first sensors proximately located to the housing's external surface. A second embodiment further comprises a docking pad having a plurality of second sensors proximately located on the docking pad's top surface. The various embodiments can be communicatively coupled with a second device and/or one or more virtual reality systems to facilitate real-time or near real-time sexual acts between a first user utilizing the interactive sex toy and/or a virtual reality system and a second user utilizing the second device and/or a virtual reality system. An application running on a first user device and/or on a second user device can facilitate communication between the aforementioned components.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a drive mechanism, a patient support mechanism, and an electronic system. The drive mechanism is included in a trolley and is configured to suspend the trolley from a support track. The drive mechanism includes a first sensor configured to sense an operating condition of the drive mechanism. The patient support mechanism couples to the trolley and includes a tether and a second sensor. The tether can be operatively coupled to a patient such that the patient support mechanism supports the patient. The second sensor is configured to sense an operating condition of the patient support mechanism. The electronic system is included in the trolley and has at least a processor and a memory. The processor is configured to define a gait characteristic of the patient based at least in part on a signal received from the first sensor and a signal received from the second sensor.
Abstract:
A cane includes a cane body, a controller, and a light source. The controller changes the blinking frequency F of the light source to blink the light source according to the usage situation of the cane by the user. The usage situation is the swing speed SP of the cane. The controller blinks the light source with a higher blinking frequency F the faster the swing speed SP of the cane. The acceleration of the cane is measured by the acceleration sensor, and the swing speed is calculated by a computing unit based on the measured acceleration.
