Abstract:
A facsimile machine including an electronic mail receiving device, a condition data setting portion sets various condition data related to output of electronic mail (e-mail) message and stores the set condition data into an EEPROM. The condition data is used when an output method and an output timing of the e-mail message are specified based on contents of the e-mail message. The condition data can be set by a user using an operation inputting portion to meet user's needs. Next, an output condition determining portion compares the e-mail message received at a mail receiving portion, with the set condition data, to specify an output method according to the condition data.
Abstract:
A complex image processing device, with a serial bus switching ability, is electrically connected to a computer by a serial bus. The device has a housing, an image capturing unit installed inside the housing for generating digital image data from a picture, a memory card reading unit installed inside the housing for reading digital data stored in a memory card, and an electromagnetic mechanical switch installed between the serialbus and the device. The electromagnetic mechanical switch, controlled by a software driver, can switch between the image capturing unit and the memory card.
Abstract:
In a user-friendly image forming apparatus which reduces operation errors by users, a job being read unregistered in a print waiting table and is added in the print waiting table when a print starting condition is satisfied, and printed at a resolution according to the data source of the job. When the print mode is the weekly magazine binding mode, the print starting condition is satisfied at the time when reading of all pages of image data is completed. When the print mode is the upward-facing mode, it is satisfied at the time when reading of one page of image data is completed.
Abstract:
A system for storing and transmitting data comprises a processor, a memory, an output device, a facsimile-modem unit, and a line interface unit. The line interface couples the processor and the facsimile-modem unit via lines to the facsimile machine and telephone network. The processor is also coupled to the computer and a memory, and controls the facsimile-modem unit and the line interface unit. The system stores and transfers data to operate in a capture mode, an auto-receive mode, a fax-modem mode, a printer mode, or a scanning mode. The present invention also includes a number of methods, including a method for determining the operational mode of the data transfer system; a method for capturing and storing facsimile transmissions; a method for transmitting and sending data over the telephone line; a method for sending data for printing; and a method for scanning data for storage.
Abstract:
The embodiments of the disclosure relate to a method, a device, and a medium for posting a media content. The method comprises, presenting a capturing interface comprising a capturing user interface element; in response to detecting activation of the capturing user interface element in the capturing interface, generating a captured video or image and displaying an editing interface for editing the captured video or image, the editing interface comprising a posting user interface element for posting the captured video or image; in response to detecting activation of the posting user interface element, posting the captured video or image. The user may quickly post a captured video by means of a story or a quick post function, being beneficial to increasing the positivity of the user to participate in the creation of short video and increasing user stickiness.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire a processing request that includes a document; request an external server to perform a process included in the acquired processing request, the external server being connectable from the information processing apparatus and being responsible for performing the process; and transmit second information to an apparatus communicable with the information processing apparatus, the second information including first information to be used for acquiring a processed document serving as the document processed by the external server.
Abstract:
A data processing apparatus is configured to: receive a selection of one of a first function and a second function other than the first function; store, if one device is selected, the selected one device in correlation with the first and second functions; and control a device to execute one of the first and second functions when an instruction to execute one of the first and second functions is received. If no device is stored in correlation with the one of the first and second functions, the selected one device executes the one of the first function and the second function. If another device has been stored in correlation with the one of the first and second functions, one of candidate devices executes the one of the first and the second functions. The candidate devices include the selected one device.

Abstract:
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores a set of instructions executed by a data processing apparatus. The instructions cause the data processing apparatus to: receive a selection of one function among a plurality of functions; acquire an IP address and/or a MAC address from each device possessing the selected function; display, on a display device, a name of each device from which the IP address and/or the MAC address is acquired; receive a selection of one device among the devices whose names are displayed on the display device; register, in a memory, the selected device in correlation with the selected function and in correlation with another function other than the selected function; and transmit a command for executing the selected function to the device that is registered in correlation with the selected function by using the IP address and/or the MAC address acquired from the registered device.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting an image and an electronic device thereof are provided. An image transmission method of an electronic device includes displaying a message transmission/reception history with at least one other electronic device, sensing a selection of a camera execution menu, displaying a preview screen of a camera within a screen in which the message transmission/reception history is displayed, detecting a touch on the displayed preview screen, if the displayed preview screen is touched, capturing an image of a subject, detecting a gesture for the captured image, and, if the gesture for the captured image is detected, transmitting the captured image to the at least one other electronic device according to the detected gesture.
