Abstract: The present invention provides pharmaceutical compositions and methods for use and manufacture thereof. The pharmaceutical compositions comprise a therapeutically effective amount of a cannabinoid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof and an amphiphilic copolymer comprising at least one hydrophilic component and at least one hydrophobic component. The cannabinoid is encapsulated in the amphiphilic copolymer, and the composition is suitable for intranasal or inhalation delivery.

Abstract: Described herein is a method for reducing tumor volume in a subject, the method including the steps of administering a cancer treatment (administration of at least one chemotherapeutic agent and/or application of radiation) to the subject in conjunction with the administration of choline, a choline metabolite, a choline precursor molecule, or a combination thereof. In another aspect, the disclosure relates to a method for enhancing cognitive response in a subject during cancer treatment, the method including the steps of administering cancer treatment (administration of at least one chemotherapeutic agent and/or application of radiation) to the subject in conjunction with the administration of choline, a choline metabolite, a choline precursor molecule, or a combination thereof. In still another aspect, choline, a choline metabolite, a choline precursor molecule, or a combination thereof can be administered in the form of a choline-enriched diet, a choline supplement, or a combination thereof. In some aspects, the method also enhances the effectiveness of chemotherapy.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a fluid storage device includes a rigid outer housing that defines a septum cavity, a reservoir cavity, and a channel that extends between the two cavities, the outer housing further defining an outlet in fluid communication with the reservoir cavity, a septum provided within the septum cavity, the septum being made of an elastic polymer and facilitating refilling of the fluid storage device, and a thin, collapsible membrane that does not generate significant restoring forces when it is deformed as fluid is drawn from the reservoir cavity and, therefore, does not completely or partially return to its initial non-deformed shape even if the outlet of the device remains open after doses are administered.

Abstract: A 4D-perfused tumoroid-on-a-chip platform used in personalized cancer treatment. The platform includes a plate with a plurality of bottomless wells that resides atop a microfluidic channel layer, which in turn resides atop a surface acoustic wave (SAW) based sensor layer that is capable of measuring potential pH values of fluids disposed within the platform. The microfluidic channel layer includes a plurality of bioreactors, with each bioreactor including an inlet well, a culture well, and an outlet well. The inlet well, culture well, and outlet well form a closed system via fluid conduits spanning from the inlet well to the culture well, as well as from the culture well to the outlet well. Due to the fluid flow from the plate to the chip, and from the inlet well to the outlet well on the chip through the culture well, target cell (tumoroid) growth is promoted within the culture well.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments of a module publication application, interactive modules, and student user interfaces that make lectures more interactive. An instructor user interface generated by the module publication application captures a video of a lecture. Interactive modules including video segments and segment metadata are generated based on the video. A student user interface can render a presentation of the video segments and an interactive region showing questions that are related to the presentation. The questions shown in the interactive region can be updated based on a current timecode of the presentation.

Abstract: A large area sintering platform, system, and methodology. The system includes a convection oven with a projection window disposed within a top surface of the oven. A platform is disposed within the oven below the window at a spaced distance away from the window. A powder is positioned on top of the platform, with a thermocouple positioned within the powder on the platform. A high intensity projector moves in sync with the platform, and uses low intensities and long exposure times to project an image through the window onto the powder and sinter the powder to fabricate the desired model layer by layer.

Abstract: A hydrogen evolution assisted electroplating nozzle includes a nozzle tip configured to interface with a portion of a substructure. The nozzle also includes an inner coaxial tube connected to a reservoir containing an electrolyte and an anode, the inner coaxial tube configured to dispense the electrolyte through the nozzle tip onto the portion of the substructure. The nozzle also includes an outer coaxial tube encompassing the inner coaxial tube, the outer coaxial tube configured to extract the electrolyte from the portion of the substructure. The nozzle also includes at least one contact pin configured to make electrical contact with a conductive track on the substrate.
