    Abstract: An image forming device, includes: a body that processes a print job and discharges a printing sheet; a post-processing device that may be connected or detached from the body, and a hardware processor. The hardware processor performs: determining whether or not a sheet type indicated by the print job may be post-processed by the post-processing device; guiding a user to detach the post-processing device from the body when the sheet type indicated by the print job may not be post-processed by the post-processing device; detecting a distance between the post-processing device and the body when the post-processing device is detached from the body; and allowing a processing of print job when the detected distance is greater than an interval that enables the processing of the print job if the sheet type indicated by the print job may not be post-processed by the post-processing device.

    Abstract: A mobile terminal improved in operability concerning fax transmission. A CPU of the mobile terminal sets information indicative of a fax transmission destination, sets reading and transmission information concerning fax transmission and original reading, and sends a request for fax transmission, to an image forming apparatus. When a response notifying capability of fax transmission is received from the apparatus, the CPU causes a message for prompting a user to set an original, to be displayed on a display section. When the original has been set and an instruction for fax transmission from the user is received, the CPU sends an instruction for reading the original and executing fax transmission, together with the transmission destination information, and the reading and transmission information, to the apparatus. The CPU causes a result of fax transmission by the apparatus to be displayed on the display section.

    Abstract: A hash table method and structure comprises a processor that receives a plurality of access requests for access to a storage device. The processor performs a plurality of hash processes on the access requests to generate a first number of addresses for each access request. Such addresses are within a full address range. Hash table banks are operatively connected to the processor. The hash table banks form the storage device. Each of the hash table banks has a plurality of input ports. Specifically, each of the hash table banks has less input ports than the first number of addresses for each access request. The processor provides the addresses to the hash table banks, and each of the hash table banks stores pointers corresponding to a different limited range of addresses within the full address range (each of the different limited range of addresses is less than the full address range).
