Abstract:
Even if print data is print-outputted from which printing apparatus upon distribution print, a print result in which there is no missing part of an image can be obtained. As a print area of a color MFP 104 and a monochromatic MFP 105 upon distribution print, an AND area 1403 of a print area 1401 and a print area 1402 (area 1403 in which both of the print areas 1401 and 1402 overlap on an output original) is set.
Abstract:
A system and method for scanning a document having a plurality of pages includes scanning a first page in the document at a first scanning speed, the first scanning speed being one of a color speed and a monochromatic speed, and determining if the first page is color or monochrome based on a result of the scan of the first page. If the first speed is the monochromatic speed and the first page is determined to be color, or if the first speed is the color speed and the first page is determined to be monochrome, then the first page is rescanned at a second scanning speed, the second scanning speed being the other of a color speed and a monochromatic speed.
Abstract:
A data transmission apparatus, comprising: a recording unit for recording data output settings for respective users preliminarily; a communication unit for transmitting to a recipient user target data with the output setting either for a sender user or the recipient user, which is recorded in said recording unit, according to an instruction by the sender user; and a display unit for previewing at least one of output settings for the sender user and the recipient user among those recorded in said recording unit, before transmitting said data.
Abstract:
A system, media, and method for transforming a main image of a digital image in accordance with a parameter are provided. The main image that is transformed based on the parameter may be one stored in the Exchangeable Image File (“EXIF”) format. In turn, the metadata, including the thumbnail image, is updated to correspond to the transformed main image. The transformed main image and updated metadata are stored together in a file using the EXIF format. Thus, the transformed main image may be viewed using a digital camera or viewer software compatible with a properly formatted EXIF file.
Abstract:
A PC has: a transmission-destination definition data storing portion to store transmission-destination definition data defining a plurality pieces of transmission-destination information for transmitting data; an icon storing portion to store a plurality of icons of which display forms are different each other, the plurality of icons respectively corresponding to the plurality pieces of transmission-destination information; a display portion to display one of the plurality of icons; a transmitting portion to, when an instruction for the displayed icon is made while an instruction for data is made, transmit the data based on one of the plurality pieces of transmission-destination information, the one of the piece of transmission-destination information corresponding to the displayed icon for which the instruction is made; and a switching-instruction accepting portion to accept a switching instruction to switch the displayed icon with another icon among the plurality of icons.
Abstract:
An image data process apparatus includes a judgment unit and a selection unit. The judgment unit is configured to judge whether or not a directory in which image data is stored is compliant with a DCF standard. The selection unit is configured to select the image data stored in the directory if the directory that has been judged not to be compliant with the DCF standard by the judgment unit. A computer readable medium is encoded with an image data process computer program configured to implement a process of selecting image data that causes a computer to implement a method of selecting image data. Whether or not a directory in which image data is stored is compliant with the DCF standard is judged. The image data stored in the directory that has been judged not to be compliant with the DCF standard during the judging is selected.
Abstract:
By memorizing communication performance information of a destination machine captured in a previous transmission, the transmission is usually carried out using the communication performance of the destination machine memorized in destination machine performance memorizing device 25. However, in case a redirect response is returned from SIP server 10 when transmitting, the communication performance information is newly exchanged with the destination machine indicated by the redirect response, and then the transmission is carried out based on the communication performance information captured in the exchange. Or the transmission is carried out with default (standard) setting without exchanging the communication performance information.
Abstract:
A digital camera generates principal image data of a predetermined size and backup image data of a maximum size, and records the principal image data and the backup image data in a memory card and an internal memory respectively. In a resize processing in a replay mode, if the backup image data corresponding to the principal image data has been recorded, and a designated size is larger than the principal image data, a resize processing section reads the backup image data from the internal memory and performs the resize processing to the backup image data.
Abstract:
An image transmission apparatus, which is capable of transmitting image data via a network and via a public line, including an image data input section capable of inputting the image data in a color mode and in a monochrome mode; a destination designation section for receiving a destination designation of broadcast transmission; a determination section for determining whether a destination, which is incapable of receiving the image data transmitted via the network, is included in destinations having been received by the destination designation section; and a transmission control section which allows the image data input section to input the image data relating to the broadcast transmission in a monochrome mode, and transmits the image data to each destination of the broadcast transmission, when the determining section determines that the destination incapable of receiving the image data transmitted via the network is included.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an Internet FAX apparatus which, after receiving an Internet address from a certain destination, can communicate with the same destination in later transmission or during communication by connecting to a LAN and switching to an Internet FAX mode requiring no communication charge. An Internet facsimile apparatus on the receiving side transmits its Internet facsimile function and Internet address on an NSF signal in a standard protocol of G3 facsimile transmission and/or transmits its telephone number, Internet facsimile function, and Internet address on TSI and NSS signals in the standard protocol of G3 facsimile communication. The Internet facsimile apparatus registers an Internet facsimile function and Internet address of a partner apparatus as destination data. The Internet facsimile apparatus communicates with the partner apparatus by using the Internet address in the destination data in later transmission or by disconnecting ordinary facsimile mode communication and switching to the Internet FAX mode.
