Abstract: A touch panel system includes a touch panel, a cover member overlapping the touch panel, and a controller. The controller includes a position detection unit configured to detect a position of a pointer, based on a signal value obtained from a position detection electrode, an amplification processing unit configured to perform amplification processing on at least one signal value in a pressing force detection range corresponding to the position of the pointer detected by the position detection unit among signal values obtained from a pressing force detection electrode, and a pressing force detection unit configured to calculate magnitude of a pressing force generated by the pointer, based on a signal value after the amplification processing being a signal value in the pressing force detection range including a signal value obtained by amplification by the amplification processing unit.

Abstract: In an organic EL display device, a frame region provided outside a display region is provided with a damming wall extending on an outer periphery of the display region and a second lead-out wiring line extending across the damming wall from the display region side to an outside of the frame region. The damming wall includes a bank portion having a projecting shape and provided, in a part in which the second lead-out wiring line extends, on both sides in a direction in which the second lead-out wiring line extends with respect to a top portion of the damming wall. The bank portion is lower than a top portion of a second damming wall and forms, between the bank portion and the top portion, a trap portion having a recessed shape.

Abstract: A display panel includes a display region defined by a plurality of pixels P and a peripheral region other than the display region. The display panel includes a gate drive circuit and a dummy capacitance portion in the peripheral region. The gate drive circuit includes a shift register. The dummy capacitance portion includes a plurality of capacitance elements connected in parallel and connected to a dummy stage. Each of the plurality of capacitance elements includes a first capacitance electrode, a second capacitance electrode, and a dielectric layer positioned between the first capacitance electrode and the second capacitance electrode. The dummy capacitance portion further includes at least one first connection portion with two ends respectively connected to the first capacitance electrode of any one of the plurality of capacitance elements and to the first capacitance electrode of any other one of the plurality of capacitance elements.

Abstract: A top-emitting subpixel structure may include at least one bank structure defining a plurality of emissive areas, and an emissive structure located in each emissive area. The subpixel structure may have a subpixel length and a subpixel width less than the subpixel length, a ratio of the subpixel length to the subpixel width defining a subpixel aspect ratio. Each emissive area may have an emissive area length and an emissive area width shorter than the emissive area length, a ratio of the emissive area length to the emissive area width defining an emissive area aspect ratio. The subpixel length may define a primary axis when the subpixel aspect ratio is greater than the emissive area aspect ratio; otherwise, the emissive area length may define the primary axis. At least a majority of the emissive areas may be arranged successively widthwise along a secondary axis perpendicular to the primary axis.

Abstract: A display device includes a lighting device, a display panel, a memory, and a correction circuit. The lighting device includes a light exit area defined into light exit sections corresponding to light sources. The display panel includes a display area disposed opposite the light exit area and including pixels. The memory stores data of pixel matrix linked to the display sections. The memory stores position data of the pixels that are not disposed opposite the corresponding light exit sections and deviation data when a position error is caused between the light exit area and the display area. The correction circuit is configured to determine whether the memory stores the position data of the pixels and link new pixel matrix units to the corresponding display sections based on the deviation data if a determination result is affirmative.

Abstract: A liquid crystal panel is a normally-black mode segment liquid crystal panel, and includes a plurality of pixels that are arrayed in substantial tessellation of an active region, as viewed from a direction of the normal of a first substrate, and a plurality of auxiliary electrodes that each have a portion that overlaps a gap between two pixels that are adjacent to each other, as viewed from the direction of the normal of the first substrate. A plurality of pixel electrodes, a common electrode, the plurality of auxiliary electrodes, and portions of a plurality of signal lines that are present in the active region are made of a transparent electroconductive material.
