Abstract:
Embodiments of the disclosed technology are directed towards a method for wirelessly logging an image taken by a standalone digital camera via a mobile device. The method involves connecting a digital camera to a mobile device with network connectivity, using a bridged connection or cable. Once the picture is taken and stored as an image on the digital camera, it is transferred to the mobile device. Upon receipt of the image by the mobile device, the image is forwarded to a network node via the mobile device's wireless network connection. The image may be stored on a network access drive and accessed remotely by a user. The logging of the image may be done automatically immediately after the photo is taken, or at a later time upon connection of the digital camera to the mobile device.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus includes a host controller that serves as a wireless USB host, one or more information processing units that have the function of a wireless USB device that can perform wireless communication with the host controller, a communication unit that can communicate with another electronic apparatus, and a control unit that acquires from the host controller connection information that is information on whether or not the host controller and the information processing unit requested for connection are connected to each other and whether or not the connection can be cut off when a connection request for one information processing unit out of the one or more information processing units is received from the another electronic apparatus through the communication unit, permits connection of the another electronic apparatus and the information processing unit requested to be connected to through wireless communication in a case where the host controller and the information processing unit requested for connection are not connected to each other.
Abstract:
A scanning apparatus having dual power mode is described. The scanning apparatus includes a detection module, a switch unit, and a power controller. The detection module detects a first voltage signal and a second voltage signal for generating a detecting signal. The switch unit receives the commands from the power controller for outputting the first voltage signal and/or the second voltage signal to the image acquiring device of the scanning apparatus. The power controller determines whether the first voltage signal is detected according to the detecting signal. While the first voltage signal is detected, the power controller controls the switch unit to output the first voltage signal and/or the second voltage signal to the image acquiring device. While the first voltage signal is not exist, the power controller controls the switch unit to output the second voltage signal to the image acquiring device.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus and method of printing an image in the image forming apparatus connected to an image storage device, the method including: selecting at least one image stored in the image storage device; setting up print options with regard to the selected at least one image; starting a transmission of image data corresponding to the selected at least one image from the image storage device to the image forming apparatus before the setting up of the print options is completed; and printing the image data according to the setup print options.
Abstract:
An image sending apparatus capable of sending image data to an image recording apparatus connected to a network, includes a sending unit configured to send image data, a selecting unit configured to select an image to be sent based on a user's operation, and a controller configured to control the sending unit. The controller controls the sending unit to send reduced image data generated by reducing original image data of the image selected by the selecting unit to the image recording apparatus, and to send the original image data corresponding to the reduced image data sent to the image recording apparatus to the image recording apparatus.
Abstract:
An image transfer device, as well as a method and computer program product, obtains an image file that includes first image data and identification information for identifying an image generation device used to generate the first image data, and obtains the identification information from the obtained image file. The image transfer device determines a display resolution of a monitor included in the image generation device, according to the obtained identification information, converts the first image data to second image data having a resolution consistent with the determined display resolution, and records the second image data into a storage device. The image transfer device transfers the obtained image file to a first device connected to the network.
Abstract:
A method and device connect a peripheral interface of a printing machine to an external peripheral device. The external peripheral device is a separate device from the printing machine. At least one external peripheral device menu is provided through a user interface of the printing machine and inputs are received to the external peripheral device menu. A processor of the printing machine controls operations of the external peripheral device based on the inputs to the external peripheral device menu. The processor executes instructions when providing the external peripheral device menu and when controlling operations of the external peripheral device.
Abstract:
There are provided an image reading apparatus capable of turning on the light source of a display such as an LCD during an image reading operation even when the apparatus operates upon power supply from an external apparatus via a USB bus, and a power control method applied to the apparatus. For example, in the apparatus which is driven upon reception of power supply from the external apparatus, and includes a CIS for reading an original image by intermittently emitting light from an LED, and an LCD with a backlight for displaying information on reading, it is controlled to prevent the ON period of the light source and that of the backlight from overlapping each other during an image reading operation.
Abstract:
To reduce trouble of specifying a target equipment, a nickname, an image, and the like are transmitted from a digital camera to a printer by wire connection not through a LAN. After the digital camera is connected to the printer through the LAN, the digital camera displays information regarding the printer on a monitor based on the nickname, the image, and the like received from the printer.
Abstract:
A multiplex system such as copying system is supplied capable of improving read speed. The multiplex system comprises a scanner to read manuscript and generate image data, and a printer to print the image data generated by the scanner; in the scanner, a scan page data storing section stores the image data; in the printer, a scanner controlling section controls status information of the scan page data storing section, and outputs a read instruction of one page manuscript to the scanner on the basis of the status information.
