Abstract: A vision inspection apparatus includes an inspection controller which displays a grid pattern with a plurality of gray levels on a display panel, an imaging converter which drives a charge-coupled device with a predetermined or set exposure-time and converts the grid pattern displayed on the display panel into a grid pattern signal, a charge calculator which calculates a charge amount per unit time for each color of a reference gray level using a reference gray level signal, included in the grid pattern signal, and the set exposure-time, and an exposure-time calculator which calculates an optimum exposure-time for each color of the reference gray level based on a target charge amount of the reference gray level.

Abstract: A processing system of a mobile device acquires an image of an object of a target color, wherein the image was captured by an integrated digital camera of the mobile device, calculates a first plurality of values that describes the target color, and wherein the calculating is based on an analysis of a pixel of the image, and identifies a first candidate color from among a plurality of candidate colors, wherein each candidate color in the plurality of candidate colors is associated with a second set of values that describes the each candidate color, and wherein the second set of values describing the first candidate color matches the first set of values more closely than any second set of values associated with another candidate color of the plurality of candidate colors.

Abstract: A computer system for seeding a formulation engine receives spectrometric data from a target coating. The computer system processes the spectrometric data through a probabilistic colorant analysis. The probabilistic colorant analysis generates a set of colorants. Each colorant within the set of colorants is associated with a calculated probability that the associated colorant is present within the target coating. Additionally, the computer system adds at least a portion of the colorants within the set of colorants to a formulation engine. The portion of the colorants is added to the formulation engine in order of decreasing probability. Further, the computer system generates, from an output of the formulation engine, a coating formulation that is calculated to match the target coating within a predetermined qualitative threshold.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a diagnostic system for biological samples is disclosed. The diagnostic system includes a diagnostic instrument, and a portable electronic device. The diagnostic instrument has a reference color bar and a plurality of chemical test pads to receive a biological sample. The portable electronic device includes a digital camera to capture a digital image of the diagnostic instrument in uncontrolled lightning environments, a sensor to capture illuminance of a surface of the diagnostic instrument, a processor coupled to the digital camera and sensor to receive the digital image and the illuminance, and a storage device coupled to the processor. The storage device stores instructions for execution by the processor to process the digital image and the illuminance, to normalize colors of the plurality of chemical test pads and determine diagnostic test results in response to quantification of color changes in the chemical test pads.

Abstract: Color calibration for digital pathology is provided. A standard glass slide is prepared with a specimen having zero or more stains. The specimen is scanned a first time using a hyperspectral imaging system to produce a first digital image having XYZ color values. The specimen is scanned a second time using a digital pathology imaging system to produce a second digital image having RGB color values. The first and second digital images are then registered against each other to align the digital image data. Individual pixels of the first and second images may be combined in the registration process so that the first and second digital images have substantially similar pixel sizes. A lookup table is generated to associate XYZ color values to RGB color values. Once the lookup table has been generated, it can be used to present RGB color on a display using the corresponding XYZ color.

Abstract: An optical sensing circuit includes a capacitor, and a light sensing unit, a compensation unit, and a switching element coupled to the capacitor. The light sensing unit includes a first light sensing transistor for sensing a first color. The compensation unit includes a second light sensing transistor for sensing a second color. The spectra of the second color and the first color do not overlap each other. When the light illuminates, the light sensing unit generates a first current and the compensation unit generates a second current. The second current reduces the magnitude of the charging or discharging current when the capacitor is charged or discharged by the first current. When the switching element turned on, the voltage of the capacitor is read to determine the color of the light. The voltage level of the gate of the first or second light sensing transistor is adjustable.

Due to this, the light source device 100 can emit light having the same color even in the face of changes along with the elapse of time and variations in the specifications of the optical parts.
