Abstract:
A suck-back valve selectively actuatable for dispensing liquid in its open condition from an associated liquid storage container, and for avoiding continued presence of excess dispensed liquid about the exit orifice in the closed condition of the valve, is formed at least in part of a spring member and a pin. The spring member includes a distal web that defines a valve seat and a dispensed liquid exit orifice, a proximal web, and a plurality of flexibly elastic bands helically connecting the distal and proximal webs. The pin includes an elongated shaft having a proximal end secured to the proximal web and carrying a substantially hollow frustoconical cone at its distal end. The cone has an outer valving surface for releasable abutment with the valve seat and the shaft has a bore of predetermined cross-sectional extent defined longitudinally along and within the shaft to create a continuous fluid passageway through and along the pin. Dispensed liquid remaining proximate the exit orifice is sucked back into the liquid container through the shaft bore as the valve returns from its open to its closed condition under the return urgency of the elastic bands.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device and a method for the metallic coating of a work piece with a mobile coating lance (20), by means of which a metal plasma jet can be generated to create the coating consisting of metal particles. According to the invention, an extraction hood (30) is provided, which at least encloses an axial section of the coating lance (20) in a ring-shaped manner, and the extraction hood (30) has a ring-shaped holding unit (50), which is configured to take up the metal particles.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an attachment for emitting water from an elevated water source. The attachment comprises an inlet section, a transitional section connected to the inlet section an outlet section connected to the transitional section opposite from the inlet section, and a rib member attached to the outlet section to support the shape of the outlet section.
Abstract:
A fuel injection valve includes: a magnetic coil; an armature; and a valve needle connected to the armature for actuating a valve closing body which forms, together with a valve seat surface, a seal seat. Formed downstream from the valve seat surface is a spray opening that has, at the transition from a first to a second spray opening segment, a tear-off edge such that the complete opening angle of the spray opening at the tear-off edge is greater than 270° over the entire circumferential tear-off edge, so that, going out from the tear-off edge, on the floor of the second spray opening segment of the spray opening, there extends a circumferential floor region that is recessed behind the transition plane in which the tear-off edge is situated.
Abstract:
A method of intermittently coating a moving surface with paste containing electrochemically active particles by a nozzle having a slot-shaped delivery opening includes supplying paste to the delivery opening from a paste reservoir via a transport channel and regulating paste supply to the delivery opening with a rotatably mounted control axle which enables the paste supply to the delivery opening in a first switching position and, in a second switching position, blocks the transport channel and disconnects a section of the transport channel extending as far as the delivery opening from the paste supply, wherein the rotatably mounted control axle includes a passage via which the paste reservoir is in communicating connection with the delivery opening in the first switching position and the disconnected section of the transport channel is in communicating connection with the reduced pressure source in the second switching position.
Abstract:
An attachment for a spraying device which permits spraying to be performed in small spaces and has both bendable and retractable features is provided. An inverted L-shaped portion has a top side and a bottom side. The bottom side is connected to a vacuum hose. The top side is attached to a bendable top hose which includes an internal bendable coaxial tubing which terminates at a nozzle. A removable support engages the nozzle at the end of the top hose. The rear of the coaxial tubing includes an attachment to the spraying device. The top hose and support permit the spraying attachment to spray hard to reach areas. The nozzle support is removable, permitting the top hose to be retracted about the coaxial tubing, freeing the nozzle to access even harder to reach areas. The attachment can evacuate any spray particulates which do not affix to the workpiece.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an invention in the field of shielded sprayers. The present disclosure particularly relates to a spray shield which can utilize standard plastic bottles. In particular, a spray shield is described which attaches a standard plastic bottle to a trigger sprayer or wand sprayer assembly, wherein the plastic bottle is cut to provide an opening distally from the next portion of the bottle, allowing for the spray to be enclosed within the inner portion of the plastic bottle. The plastic bottle may be attached, incorporated, or anchored to the trigger sprayer or wand sprayer. The shield may be washable or disposable and is typically recyclable.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a shield assembly of low-flow sprinkler comprises: a support body, a low-flow sprinkler assembly arranged in the support body and a plurality of shield units sequentially combined to form an arc-shaped shield to be easily installed on the low-flow sprinkler and convenience to adjust sprinkling orientation for the required sprinkling area and to increase or decrease the number of shield units for adjusting the sprinkling angle in order to enhance sprinkling orientation and angle precision.
Abstract:
A fire suppression sprinkler assembly coupled to a mounting surface includes a sprinkler having a heat responsive element arranged adjacent a first end. A cover plate is positioned adjacent the heat responsive element and includes a thermally conductive cover layer. A reflective shield has a reflective interior surface. The reflective shield is positioned substantially opposite the cover plate adjacent the first end of the sprinkler such that heat reflects from the top plate towards the heat responsive element.
Abstract:
The invention relates to rotary bell cup atomizers used in the coating of substrates; more particularly, the invention provides a protective cover for the outer atomizing edge of such devices during idle periods in the coating process, which cover is retractable to expose the atomizing edge and permit unimpeded conventional coating to proceed upon initiation of coating.
