Abstract:
Disclosed is a solar radiation sensor apparatus. A light-blocking plate is provided above the light-receiving surface of a photoelectric element, and has an area smaller than the area of the light-receiving surface. The incident angle sensitivity characteristic of the sensor apparatus can be improved without involving any increase in the external dimensions of the sensor apparatus.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, for a stray-light testing station. In one aspect, the stray-light testing station includes an illumination assembly including a spatially extended light source and one or more optical elements arranged to direct a beam of light from the spatially extended light source along an optical path to an optical receiver assembly including a lens receptacle configured to receive a lens module and position the lens module in the optical path downstream from the parabolic mirror so that the lens module focuses the beam of light from the spatially extended light source to an image plane, and a moveable frame supporting the optical receiver assembly including one or more adjustable alignment stages to position the optical receiver assembly relative to the illumination assembly such that the optical path of the illumination assembly is within a field of view of the optical receiver assembly.
Abstract:
Systems, methods and devices are for optical imaging are described. A system includes a light source and a light detection unit. The light source includes a light-emitting device and a first spectral filter opposite the light emitting device. The first spectral filter includes at least one dielectric filter and has a first angular dependence of a transmission passband. The light source further includes at least one reflector adjacent side surfaces of the light emitting device. The second spatial filter has a second angular dependence of a transmission passband that is matched to the first angular dependence.
Abstract:
An optical sensor arrangement comprises an optoelectronic device covered by a cover arrangement and being configured to emit or detect at least electromagnetic radiation with a first wavelength through an aperture of the cover arrangement. The optical sensor arrangement further comprises a mirror arrangement arranged between the optoelectronic device and the aperture and comprising a wavelength selective mirror with a passband and a stopband. The passband includes a first wavelength range including the first wavelength, the stopband includes a second wavelength range corresponding to visible light or vice versa.
Abstract:
A pyranometer comprises: a light sensor; a first lens arranged to face a light-receiving surface of the light sensor; and a light-shielding ring arranged between the light sensor and the first lens, the light-shielding ring having a light-transmissive region allowing transmission of light at some angles of incidence in the light passing through the first lens.
Abstract:
A building controller includes a controller that is operatively coupled to a motion sensor and provides one or more control signals based at least in part on the motion sensed by the motion sensor. A lens member includes a HDPE (high density polyethylene) lens and a lens mounting structure that includes a lens retention hook. A bracket defines an aperture in registration with the motion sensor and further defines a lens securement aperture configured to accommodate the lens retention hook. The bracket may also define a lens securement spring configured to provide a biasing force to the lens retention hook of the lens mounting structure.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A photo-detection apparatus includes a light-shielding film, an optically-coupled layer, a photodetector, and an optical system. In the light-shielding film, light-transmitting regions and light-shielding regions are alternately arranged in at least a first direction within a plane. The optically-coupled layer faces the light-shielding film and includes a grating that propagates light in the first direction. The photodetector includes first photo-detection cells and second photo-detection cells arranged on an imaging area. The optical system is disposed between the optically-coupled layer and the photodetector. An image of light transmitted by parts of the optically-coupled layer that face each of the light-transmitting regions and light-shielding regions is enlarged or reduced by the optical system and formed on a corresponding one of the first and second photo-detection cells.
