Abstract: A device for continuously treating fabrics which comprises an outer shell body, a perforated inner vessel of a half-cut drum shape provided within said outer shell body and pivotally supported on rollers and driven by a shaft to be swingably oscillated therewithin, and a pair of fabric inlet and outlet tubes provided at each end of said inner vessel, respectively, in alignment with an axial line thereof; and, said inner vessel being provided with one or more turbulence plates whose height and shape are changeable disposed on its inside wall in an axial direction thereof, a pair of plates having a suitable width to prevent a fabric material from jumping out thereof under treating conditions fixed to each longitudinal edge thereof covering its whole length, respectively, and a plurality of parallel grooves having a saw-tooth cross-section on its entire inside surface which are extending to both sides of its axial line at an angle with respect thereto.

Abstract: A method for liquid treatment of a fabric, in which the fabric to be treated in a rope form or web form is circulated in a predetermined direction within a treatment bath in a treatment tank, is disclosed. There is provided, of the treatment bath in the treatment tank, a treatment chamber consisting of a shower section provided with a fabric inlet, and a treatment section communicated with the shower section and having at least one constricted portion in the midway thereof, and surrounding the fabric so as to pass the fabric therethrough. A treatment conduit extends from the treatment chamber to within the treatment bath in the treatment tank. A treatment liquid is supplied to within the shower section of the treatment chamber to seal the fabric inlet with the liquid during the circulating process of the fabric. The treatment liquid is then jetted in the direction of travelling of the fabric within the treatment section to cause the treatment liquid to spout through the clearance between the fabric and the constricted portion when the fabric passes through the constricted portion, to thereby impart to the fabric a positive shaking motion. The fabric is then led from the outlet of the treatment chamber through the treatment conduit to within the treatment bath while maintaining the fabric to be immersed in the treatment liquid.

Abstract: A system for wet impact plating of metal parts utilizing single tumbling barrel for independent parts rinsing and impacting operations respectively when interchangeable, smaller perforate and imperforate barrel doors are secured to a larger door of the barrel. Rinsing water is supplied to the barrel while rotating with the perforate door in position. Water expenditure is thereby minimized and the rinsing effluent is thereby effectively separated from the impacting medium. A stationary bin with a screen for separating parts from the impacting medium and aqueous solutions is positioned beneath the barrel. Communicating with the bin in selectively operable relationship is a venturi eductor which, together with a pump communicating with a water storage tank, is operable to rapidly transfer the impacting medium to a hopper positioned over the barrel for reuse while generating sufficient turbulence to tend to cleanse the impacting medium of spent plating material and promoter chemicals. These spent materials pass, with overflow water, through an overflow strainer in the hopper to the water storage tank where they settle and are subsequently removed. Substantially all water is thereby recovered and reused, and the frequency of impacting medium rectification is materially lessened. Two separate charges of impacting medium are used in the system, and several tumbling barrel units may be supported by a single water storage tank where the water level and temperature are controlled.

Abstract: A coating system includes a plurality of liquid immersion workstations positioned along an arcuate path, the plurality of liquid immersion workstations defining a single complete coating process for a sequence of objects. An articulated robotic arm has a base positioned inside the arcuate path in top plan view such that the robotic arm is operable to carry each object of the sequence of objects through each of the plurality of liquid immersion workstations and to exactly one of the plurality of curing workstations. An articulated robotic hand is provided at a distal end of the robotic arm and configured to grasp and hold each of the objects and to oscillate the object while submerged in each of the plurality of liquid immersion workstations.

Abstract: A coating apparatus and method are disclosed for coating tablets with a film, in which the tables transit through a drilled first container where they are coated, then exit the first container and are removed from a rotating element provided on the periphery of a plurality of removal members that are spaced angularly apart from one another, in which each removal member removes a quantity of tablets, raises the removed tables as far as a certain height and then discharges the tablets into a chute that conveys the tablets into a second rotating drilled container, with delicate transfer of the coated tablets from one container to the next.
