Abstract:
Proteins that bind to IGF-II and/or IGF-IIE and methods of using such proteins are described. Also disclosed are new methods for treatment of cancer. Cancer is treated by administration of an IGF-II/IGF-IIE binding protein and an additional therapy such as a growth hormone/growth hormone releasing hormone pathway modulator or epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitor.
Abstract:
An apparatus for teaching proper technique for the Heimlich or Abdominal Thrust maneuver. When the Heimlich or Abdominal Thrust maneuver is applied to the apparatus by a user, an indicator is provided to show the user whether proper technique was used. The apparatus can take the form of a wearable garment or a form, either of which may mimic the shape of a person. The apparatus is scalable, and may be made to mimic the shapes of persons of various sizes, including infants and animals, if desired. Indicators can be included to measure the effectiveness of other techniques often used in conjunction with the Heimlich or Abdominal Thrust maneuver.
Abstract:
A method of forming air gaps within a solid structure is provided. In this method, a sacrificial material is covered by an overlayer. The sacrificial material is then removed through the overlayer to leave an air gap. Such air gaps are particularly useful as insulation between metal lines in an electronic device such as an electrical interconnect structure. Structures containing air gaps are also provided.
Abstract:
More particularly, the present invention relates to the crystal structure of the ErbB2, in particular the crystal structure of an extracellular portion of ErbB2 and to methods of using the crystal and related structural information to screen for and design compounds that interact with ErbB2, or variants of thereof.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for facilitating wagering in wagering games by presenting through a display device a user interface comprising a representation of a segmented ring, wherein each segment of the displayed segmented ring corresponds with a wagering option associated with a wagering game; receiving, through the user interface, input from a player relating to one or more desired wagers, wherein the input is received by detecting physical contact with the display device in the area of the segmented ring; and responsive to the input received, presenting, by the display device, a graphical representation of the one or more desired wagers, wherein the graphical representation comprises a form visible on the user interface, the form having a positional element relative to the displayed segmented ring indicating the outcome being wagered on and a dimensional element relative indicating the amount being wagered.

Abstract:
The present invention is directed to an epoxy film composition, comprising: novolac resin; solvent; a photoacid generator having the structure A+B− and having a pKa of −5 or less; and a photolabile quencher generator having the structure C+D− and having a pKa greater than −10; wherein B− and D− are different; wherein the amount of the photoacid generator ranges from 0.1 to 7 wt %, based on the total weight of the composition; and wherein the amount of the photolabile quencher generator ranges from 0.1 to 20 wt %, based on the total weight of the photoacid generator. The present invention is also directed to a method of controlling photospeed in a negative photoresist.
